Thursday, July 24, 2008. Busy Week, Charlotte, Etc! This has been a pretty busy week for me workwise. on Monday, I had depositions all day, then spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Charlotte for a class and exam - my mom went with me and we made an "overnight getaway" out of it. we did manage to hit two of our favorite restaurants in the world, Cheesecake Factory for lunch and PF Chang's for dinner. Glenn has a 2-year contract in Saudi, so he's home every other month for a month. fortunately, we were able to get together with them and do some catching up! Thursday, July 10, 2008. ANOTHER NEW LUNCH SPOT! I have another new lunch spot to go to now. today I had lunch with my friend Kelly at Zoe's - the place on Forest Drive that used to be Fran's. I had not been to Fran's in years, and recently drove by and saw that it had reopened as Zoe's. Kelly suggested Zoe's, and I wanted to try it, so we went there! Had an excellent chicken salad wrap and fruit on the side. it was yummy! We had a great time catching up! So now we have our own drink at Capital City Club!

Sunday, July 6, 2008. There wasn't much to post about yesterday. it was a typical Saturday around here. we slept in a little, then got up and spent the day doing housework and yard work. Dennis did the yard work and worked out in the garage some (trying to organize it! Maria has been saying for a while now that "my bir-day is march 6 in the Rotunda" (rotunda is the indoor playground area at her daycare, which they do rent out for parties). Monday, January 5, 2009. While we were in Florida, Thomas and I went to Kennedy Space Center and did a "behind the scenes" tour. The building the shuttle is assembled in is MASSIVE! It is so fascinating to see all the buildings to assemble shuttles, offices, launch pads, and to get a sneak peek at the assembly of parts for the International Space Station!
