Wednesday, 8 February 2012. The big freeze continues to hold us in it's icy grasp, with two thirds of the country on 'Vigilance Orange' for extreme low temperatures. Tuesday, 31 January 2012. We have wondered for a while when we would be made to pay for the mild winter we have enjoyed thus far. I had heard rumblings of artic weather last week, however on Friday I found this a little difficult to believe when I was sitting in the garden in shorts and t-shirt sipping an iced drink! An educational look at the culinary world. Blueberry muffins and some creativity. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 1 1/2 cups plain yogurt. Cup vegetable or canola oil. 1 cup frozen blueberries. 1 Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. 2 Mix the dry ingredients ( flour, baking powder, salt and sugar) together in a large bowl. 3 Whisk wet ingredients ( yogurt, egg and oil ) together in another bowl. 4 Measure cinnamon and sugar for topping in a small bowl. 7 DO NOT OVERMIX!
