Merry Christmas! – Hope-Full Treasures
https://hopefulltreasures.wordpress.com/2016/12/24/merry-christmas
Finding hope in the journey. Christmas Eve 2016 is here…just let that sink in for a moment! Going through my Facebook memories earlier, I was reminded of Christmas Eve 2015. It was possibly the first time in my life when I had little to no Christmas spirit. It was Noah’s first Christmas, as well as our first Christmas as a family of 3. And Jason was in hospital for it all – admitted on 23 Dec, discharged 26 Dec. Can you tell he’s excited for Christmas? Jason, Megan and Noah xx. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

April 2016 – Hope-Full Treasures
https://hopefulltreasures.wordpress.com/2016/04
Finding hope in the journey. I recently spent one Saturday afternoon getting all crafty with our niece, Amber-Lee. We pulled out all my paint, paintbrushes, paper and little wooden trinkets, boxes and baskets, all longing for a splash of colour. I’ve been meaning to get back into it all, so I was quite excited to get all crafty with Amber-Lee. Tape wouldn’t work – too small. So, what? Does it even need to be painted perfectly? Was I the perfect mother? Was I the perfect daughter/sister/friend? Nope But i...

Finding hope in the journey. I don’t have what it takes…. A thought from Jason, my husband and and soon to be daddy to our Little One. You cannot explain the thoughts that run through your head whilst waiting to become a father I mean, they’re scary! Am I going to be good enough? Do I have what it takes to lead this little one in a healthy fulfilling life? Do I have what it takes to be a father, never mind being a good father? I’m just not good enough what was I thinking? But then it hit me. So I’m going...

Baker Baker! – Hope-Full Treasures
https://hopefulltreasures.wordpress.com/2016/11/07/baker-baker
Finding hope in the journey. Baker Baker…that which makes work on a Friday so much sweeter! I work at a pre-school, and every Friday at 10:00am, one child in each class has the opportunity to be the Baker Baker – they get to bring some sweet treats for their class mates to enjoy! The treats may be store bought, or made at home with mom’s help. But it was so important to me, that Noah and I created his treats for his friends! So we made little pencils out of wafers! What you will need:. Never did I think ...

Thankful – Hope-Full Treasures
https://hopefulltreasures.wordpress.com/2016/11/22/thankful
Finding hope in the journey. Today, being at home, sick, I can’t help but feel thankful. Even while I’m sick. Especially because I’m sick. I’m not sure if this thankfulness is because it was our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday, or because I see all of our American friends getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. But, I am thankful. I’m thankful to have a job that I love. A job where I still get to see my son during the day, and my husband is right upstairs. I’m thankful for the wond...I’m thankfu...

Finding hope in the journey. Happy Mother’s Day! In the week leading up to Mother’s Day this year, I started thinking of some of the amazing, strong women who all play such a unique and important role in my Noah’s life. So, to honor these amazing ladies, I thought I’d share why we love them so much. I have some amazing girlfriends, who have just taken to Noah, and find him irresistible…particularly his Bestie! Thank you, ladies, for loving my Noah the way that you do! We loved the one of pretty slippers ...

Our little sickling… – Hope-Full Treasures
https://hopefulltreasures.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/our-little-sickling
Finding hope in the journey. Our little sickling…. Since the day we met Noah, everyday has been an adventure with him. Days have been filled with ups and downs, learning, growing, adapting. One of the biggest struggles we have had is his health. We had quite a “welcome to parenting” when he first came home. Now, at last, we know what we’re dealing with, and are able to treat him accordingly. Remember the bit about maybe needing to be hospitalized? After chatting with our GP, it was decided that we would ...

Finding hope in the journey. Yes, we are! We got the call on 31 July. And since then, there has been a flurry of excitement at home, as we get overrun (in the best possible way) with baby stuff! While we have officially been approved, we will not meet a baby, they won’t even tell us if there is a possible baby for us, until one more document is sent from Pretoria. We are both learning the ever important lesson of patience! In the meantime, baby prep is at an all time high! Our baby has a pram! A bottle s...
