This truck carries the equipment necessary to fight structure fires, vehicle fires as well as the Hurst Jaws of LIfe rescue tools. Our Jaws of LIfe were just updated to all new equipment in 2009. Recognizing the need for fire protection in the Colonial Village area, a handful of men met on lawns and in one another’s garages discussing the possibility of organizing a volunteer fire company. This paved the way to meetings in the old wood school house #9, which was located in the district, and ultimately led to the formation of Lewiston Fire Co. #2 in the year 1942. It's a crackerjack life. Happy Big 3, Toddler Andy! June 13, 2015. Guess we can’t really call him “baby andy” anymore, can we? Andy is my most feisty, go-gettin’, firecracker kid we’ve ever had! We got to take him on an actual train ride last week for his birthday. He was in awe! I tried my best to capture some shots beforehand, but three year olds aren’t so great at sitting still so I had a limited amount of in-focus photos. Seems fitting.
