Our Fantastic Lab Reports!!
Our Fantastic Lab Reports! Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Aluminum and Copper(II) Sulfate Redox Lab. The purpose of this lab is to determine the number of grams of copper that will be produced from an oxidation reduction reaction when you know the mass of Aluminum that reacted with a known amount of copper 2 sulfate pentahydrate and to compare this to the actual yield of copper. Measured sample of aluminum foil. Measure amount of copper sulfate pentahydrate. Obtain a medium sized ( 80 ml) beaker. Stirring freque...

Lhs lab report blog. Link to Howell Space. Thursday, May 20, 2010. In this lab we will be mixing aluminum powder with a mixture of copper sulfate and water. The purpose of this lab is to measure out different quantities of chemicals and along with there molar mass incorporate those numbers into equations that will give us info such as the limiting reactant, percent yield, and theoretical yield. With this lab you are also given the opportunity to observe multiple chemical reactions. 412g Al X 1 mol Al/26&...

Thursday, May 20, 2010. Al and Cu II Sulfate Redox Lab. The purpose of this lab was to determine the number of grams of copper that will be produced for an oxidation reduction reaction when you know the mass of Aluminum that reacts with a known amount of copper II sulfate pentahydrate and to compare this to the actual yield of Copper. 1Obtain a 250 to 400ml sized beaker. 2Add 150 to 200ml of water to 250 to 400ml beaker; set-up apparatus to heat your mixture over a Bunsen burner to begin heating. 9Use th...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Aluminum and Copper (II) sulfate Redox Lab. Safety Precaution- Make sure you put on safety glasses and wear an apron. The weight of the product that was filtered out is .71 grams. Thing in this lab that could have messed with our results could have been the error in the amount of each substance we put in the water. The ratio could have changed our results. In order to get an actual answer we would have to repeat the lab multiple times and get and average. Tyson Seth and Sthuler.

Lab Report Blog 4 9. This is super cool because thats just the way we are so totally drop us a message. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Aluminum and Copper II Sufate Redox Lab. The purpose of this lab is to better understand the application of stoichiometry. we will be testing materials of known amounts to determine the limiting reactants of the stoichiometry problem we solved. We will then cross reference our results with our expected results from the equation to see the percent yield. 8 We wrote our names aroun...

Lab Report Blog 5 9. Thursday, May 20, 2010. Single Displacement, Oxidation Reduction Reaction Lab. Statement of the Problem:. How many grams of copper will be produced from an oxidation reduction reaction when you know the mass of Aluminum that reacted with a known amount of copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate? And how will this compare to the actual yield of copper? 15 g Copper(II) Sulfate Pentahydrate. 08 g Aluminum Powder. Our conclusion resulted in the single displacement reaction that occurred in the s...

Thursday, May 20, 2010. 8gAl * 1 mol Al/26.98mol Al * 3 mol Cu/2 Mol Al * 9 g Cu/ 1 mol Cu=2.83 grams of Cu. Our theoretical yield, which is the maximum amount of product given from an amount of reaction , was .9 and our actualy yield, the amount actually produced, is 2.72 gave us a percent yield of 46.46%. The percent yield was to accurately show the real amount of copper given off from the reaction. Add 75 to 100 ml of water to the beaker. Measure out .7 and 1g of CuSO4*5H2O. Weigh out a piece of paper.

Libby High School Chem Lab Blog. Is COD the best game ever? Wednesday, May 19, 2010. The Case of the Disappearing Aluminum. Safety: Aprons, goggles, forceps. Added 90 mL of water to the beaker. Measured out 9.17 g of Copper (II) Sulfate to the water and began heating it on the bunson burner. Measured out .989 g of Aluminum powder. Stirred the Copper (II) Sulfate until dissolved, then added the aluminum powder. Continued heating until all was dissolved. Filtered out the residue in a funnel. 2Al - - 3Cu Al.

Friday, February 5, 2010. Unfinished chemistry post :]. Statement of the Problem:. We are doing a lab to determine how the polarity of chromatography paper takes the various pigments of ink and spreads it out over a given area of the chromatography paper. Before this lab we had never heard of “Chromatography paper” nor do we know what it will do, other then the little bit we learned about it before we preformed our lab. The liquids being used let off a scent that you cant smell. But can feel :]. List one...
