Breast Reconstruction with Expanders. Created on 3 December 2008 (#17392814). Last updated on 21 February 2016. Hello My name is Lianne and I am a carrier of the BRCA2 mutation. This mutation greatly increases my risk of getting breast cancer. upto 87%. In stead of living with that risk I have decided to go ahead and have a PBM. A Prophylactic Bylateral Mastectomy. aka. prevenative removal of both breasts. I will begin reconstruction at the same time that the mastectomy is done. Follow us on Facebook.

BRCA and Choosing LIFE! December 27, 2011 in Journeys. I missed blogging on the one year anniversary of my exchange (12/21) because I was busy and my BRCA life has pretty much been put on the back burner (yippee! It’s amazing how that happens….) Something that was such a huge part of my life for two years has now taken a back seat. That’s a good thing as it means that real life is what I’m focusing on now. I certainly always have a lot to say, but time does not warrent it always. These are things an untouched body does not experience. I want to feel untouched again.
