Librarian Mom: Review & Giveaway: Mama Cloth from Moms Crafts 4 U

http://librarianmomnl.blogspot.com/2011/04/review-giveaway-mama-cloth-from-moms.html

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Review and Giveaway: Mama Cloth from Moms Crafts 4 U. Two words: mama cloth. The first time I saw that phrase in a shop’s Facebook celebration giveaway album, I had no idea what item was up for grabs. I entered for the chance to win a variety of WaHM products, including blankets, reusable wipes, and jewellery. But “mama cloth? 8221; I skipped over that one, lest I be the winner of something for which I had no use. Moms Crafts 4 U.

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Monday, May 30, 2011. You want to be where you can see, our troubles are all the same." (Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo). I've recently become involved with the fantastic new online presence for Baby Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador. In the past week, I have come face-to-face with an aspect of my identity as a breastfeeding mom that I can no longer ignore. A few days ago, @ReadilyAParent. Why do I feel shame about having never nursed in public? Thus, wh...

Librarian Mom: “Open confession is good for the soul” (Scottish Proverb)

http://librarianmomnl.blogspot.com/2011/04/open-confession-is-good-for-soul.html

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Saturday, April 16, 2011. 8220;Open confession is good for the soul” (Scottish Proverb). I have a confession to make - breastfeeding was easy for me. Now by easy, I don't mean that it came without some hard work and dedication, and both of those continue to this day. Throw in a little stubborness when cluster-feeding and growth spurts reared their ugly heads, and you've got the jist of my breastfeeding journey thus far. I've suffered three very. But I did ha...

http://librarianmomnl.blogspot.com/2011/04/this-moment-taking-spell.html

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Friday, April 8, 2011. This moment} - Taking a Spell. A Friday ritual, inspired by The Leaky B@ b. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Sometimes the most urgent thing you can possibly do is take a complete rest." Librarian Mom: Unlocking the Secrets to your Nursling's Future Profession

http://librarianmomnl.blogspot.com/2011/05/unlocking-secrets-to-your-nurslings.html

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Friday, May 13, 2011. Unlocking the Secrets to your Nursling's Future Profession. Ah, the joys of breastfeeding a toddler. I remember when my son was almost a year old, and I was reading a few posts over at The Leaky B@ b. And then it began. Then he suddenly moved on to Dermatology. Each of my accessible moles and freckles got a thorough once-over each time he nursed. May 29, 2011 at 7:14 AM. Keep up the great work. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Why I chose libraries. From the time I learned that letters could be strung together to form words, sentences, grand ideas and imaginary kingdoms, I’ve been hooked. Books, newspapers, magazines I devoured them all. Book or article had answers to their questions. Who gets to do that? In an afterword to his book Blink. Theme by adazing web design.

Musings from LibrarianMom

Monday, March 9, 2015. Recently I had the opportunity to review Michelle Cushatt. S book Undone: A Story of Making Peace with an Unexpected Life. In a nutshell, Undone. Is a heart and soul baring memoir of Cushatt's journey through cancer and then changing life circumstances in her family. Some memoirs offer a pull back the curtains glimpse into an author's life. However, Cushatt gives a door-wide open entry into her life. PS I enjoyed Cushatt's reference to the CIY conference. My trip to Africa! And our...

Librarian and Mule | So many books, so little time.

So many books, so little time. The Motel Life (2006) by Willy Vlautin – A Tale Of Two Brothers. November 21, 2015. This is the kind of story that always makes me think of that Leonard Cohen’s novel. Just the title, though, mind you. The protagonist of Vlautin’s novel is Frank Flannigan. He and his brother Jerry Lee are living in Reno and not on the glittery side of the street. Vlautin is the lead singer and songwriter for a band called. Middlesex (2002) by Jeffrey Eugenides: Calliope Callie – Cal. Yvon C...

Librarian Mystic | wanderings * wonderings * wordplay

Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. November 5, 2010 in Uncategorized. What have I been doing with writing and drawing all these years? Grade, when I started to seriously sit with a paper in front of me with some kind of want within me. What did I want? To be noticed, praised? When I put my words and images out there and I don’t get feedback or a dialogue, then I feel frustrated and angry and feel it is pointless. Why do I keep doing these things? Why do I persist? What do I keep missing? What is it for?
