dream phrase | Librarian Mystic
https://librarianmystic.wordpress.com/2010/07/08/dream-phrase
Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. July 8, 2010 in Uncategorized. Woke up with this phrase this morning — “No accepted door into reality is life.”. And I saw a bunny somersalting into a mirror, as if the phrase was made into a poster). I like it and it feels true. I don’t know if I can explain what it means. Maybe that’s the point. That theories about life aren’t life. Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email. Join 9 other followers.

Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. October 26, 2010 in Uncategorized. By whose authority do you feel the way you do? This morning I woke up with that sentence. It popped into my mind. It felt like a question for me — but not only for me — for other people I know as well —. 8220;By whose authority do you feel the way you do? Which led me to think of other questions:. Whose authority has power in your life? Whose permission do you need to do what you want? Whose approval are you seeking? According to Anim...

Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. A poem I woke up with on the morning of my birthday – a work in progress. June 20, 2010 in Uncategorized. This place is this —. I know it is. If you let yourself feel. You’re gonna get hurt. But if you don’t let yourself feel. You’ll never know love. Becomes part of beauty). It isn’t an easy place. I know it isn’t. All that lives, struggles. Trying to find a way. To connect, to survive. Of hope and despair. Of giving up, of going on. Someday I hope to know the way.
Row, row, row your boat | Librarian Mystic

Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. Row, row, row your boat. June 14, 2010 in Discussion. There’s a technique in creative dreaming called lucid dreaming in which dreamers affect their dreams by. 1) Acknowledging they are in a dream; and. 2) Consciously doing things, asking for things, and/or otherwise changing their dream. My initial results first came after realizing something my dad said for years: that when he is dreaming he looks around and says to himself, Hey, I’m in a dream. (. Recently I’ve been ...

Wanderings * wonderings * wordplay. November 5, 2010 in Uncategorized. What have I been doing with writing and drawing all these years? Grade, when I started to seriously sit with a paper in front of me with some kind of want within me. What did I want? To be noticed, praised? When I put my words and images out there and I don’t get feedback or a dialogue, then I feel frustrated and angry and feel it is pointless. Why do I keep doing these things? Why do I persist? What do I keep missing? What is it for?

Facing 300: On Clydesdales
http://facing300.blogspot.com/2009/12/on-clydesdales.html
Friday, December 11, 2009. Are beautiful. I always have. Years ago, my extended family used to gather at my grandmother's tiny house on the parade route of the local "Threshing Days" parade. It was the one time of year the extended family always gathered together. We ate, drank, and made complete fools of ourselves as the long, progression of parade entries went by. My favorite part, however, was always the Budweiser Clydesdales. This is NOT a term of endearment any dieting woman is likely to appreciate.

What happens when a research lover has a baby? Monday, May 30, 2011. You want to be where you can see, our troubles are all the same." (Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo). I've recently become involved with the fantastic new online presence for Baby Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador. In the past week, I have come face-to-face with an aspect of my identity as a breastfeeding mom that I can no longer ignore. A few days ago, @ReadilyAParent. Why do I feel shame about having never nursed in public? Thus, wh...

Musings from LibrarianMom
Monday, March 9, 2015. Recently I had the opportunity to review Michelle Cushatt. S book Undone: A Story of Making Peace with an Unexpected Life. In a nutshell, Undone. Is a heart and soul baring memoir of Cushatt's journey through cancer and then changing life circumstances in her family. Some memoirs offer a pull back the curtains glimpse into an author's life. However, Cushatt gives a door-wide open entry into her life. PS I enjoyed Cushatt's reference to the CIY conference. My trip to Africa! And our...

Librarian and Mule | So many books, so little time.
So many books, so little time. The Motel Life (2006) by Willy Vlautin – A Tale Of Two Brothers. November 21, 2015. This is the kind of story that always makes me think of that Leonard Cohen’s novel. Just the title, though, mind you. The protagonist of Vlautin’s novel is Frank Flannigan. He and his brother Jerry Lee are living in Reno and not on the glittery side of the street. Vlautin is the lead singer and songwriter for a band called. Middlesex (2002) by Jeffrey Eugenides: Calliope Callie – Cal. Yvon C...

Monday, October 28, 2013. Oh man, this is upsetting! Dear Aspiring Librarians: an open letter from the Beerbrarian. So many statistics posted in here are just unhappy. LibrariAnnabelle's Blog | Ramona Quimby is my hero
Ramona Quimby is my hero. Kids Club Wednesday, June 23. June 24, 2016. Because school is out – and most of us have survived so far – we’ve started a new program called Kids Club (put the apostrophe where ye may), in which from 2 – 3 pm Tuesday – Thursday we have a program full of whatevers (games, STEAM, etc.) for 6 – 12 year-olds. I could have been brainy, I could have been sciency, but nope, we made fortune tellers. Because… why not? About their history; fascinating! For little boys. A three? In What&#...
