Obsessed with food | Bowler's Blog
https://lyndabowler.wordpress.com/2012/10/25/obsessed-with-food
Just another WordPress.com weblog. Back to the blog! October 25, 2012. Just noticed all the pictures coming up in my Flickr widget feature food. I’m not obsessed… really. Having just had to ‘help’ my teenage daughter make dozens of lemon curd tarts for a charity stall she is running as part of her Arts Management course at Exeter College – I’ve gone off food completely. Well pastry anyway. Now what’s for tea…. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Back to the blog! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Mobile Li...

I must admit to struggling to muster the enthusiasm to post on this blog at the moment. In fact I do not seem to be enthusiastic about anything at the moment – it may be the winter blues. With spring arriving I can only hope this will dissipate, spring is my favourite season after all…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. School days →. September 9, 2014. So I phoned 111 this evening as despite medication prescribed by our GP for my mother earlier this afternoon, she remaines in considerable pain. Morphine based patches applied at 6 pm. It is now 11.30 and still no sign of a doctor. In fairness the ‘service’ has kept me updated as to progress but I fear we are unlikely to see anyone until after midnight now. And so we wait…. Because library is not a dirty word. Welcome to Noisy Librarians. I was hoping to start this blog of with something Grand, some sort of Mission Statement or rallying cry. In the end it was a small feature on the Today programme one morning which got me thinking. The radio news feature was about the decline in usage of public libraries (I only realised afterwards it was only about England, of course, as many ‘national’ news features are! A library is a place where anyone, of any background, income, age et...

Thursday, 15 January 2015. The three white globes on pedestals are not lit. They are white, and the background is black, so yes they can be seen. But this is the only reason why. They are a complete failure. 8212; Have you ever seen them lit up? 8212; They were kind of glowing. When I cycled past the other night. 8212; It’s not like the picture. On the beach. 8212; Yeah. I think it was taken in the summer. Clear sky. Somewhere they knew they’d get good signal, I guess. 8212; It’s depressing. You press th...
