life in a garden: Salamander/Newt Trail

http://lifeinagarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/salamandernewt-trail.html

Life in a garden. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Our friends who took us on this Salamander trail last year. Invited us back. We were all thrilled to be on the look out for newts and salamanders. It is a beautiful trail that in the neighbouring town, along the river, ravines and woods. At the top of a waterfall is the jack pot. We turned over logs and rocks to find lots of red backed salamanders. Their little feet are so incredibly tiny, they amaze me. As big as Aria's head! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

life in a garden: A Whole Watermelon

http://lifeinagarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/whole-watermelon.html

Life in a garden. Sunday, May 22, 2011. The kids took there money to the grocery store. I was imagine them coming home with snack foods of the bagged kind. Instead they each bought a whole watermelon. They were cut in half and eaten with no hands to start, then when that became too hard it was spoon. The juice was finally finished with a straw. I am told it was money well spent! Labels Day to Day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When you do things from your soul you feel a river moving in you, a joy.

life in a garden: A few more

http://lifeinagarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/few-more.html

Life in a garden. Friday, May 27, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When you do things from your soul you feel a river moving in you, a joy. From catching frogs to star gazing, baking to day tripping, jumping off the dock to story telling, homeschooling to adjusting to bears in the yard, each day is an adventure and an attempt to live soulfully. The real joy for me comes from doing it with my 'crew'; Elias (12yo), Ben (10yo), Aria (8yo), Shai (4yo) and my partner Chris. Easy and Quick birdfeeders.

life in a garden: Track and Field

http://lifeinagarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/track-and-field.html

Life in a garden. Friday, May 27, 2011. The track and field event, which is put on by a local private school and includes the homeschooling community caught us off guard with the timing. Where did May go? This was the first year they offered the younger children junior and senior kindergarten, an activity. Shai loved it. There was bean bag toss, jumping, walking on lines and throwing. The races were by far his favorite. His little arms just pumping away as he ran. So much fun. Easy and Quick birdfeeders.

life in a garden: More Birds

http://lifeinagarden.blogspot.com/2011/05/more-birds.html

Life in a garden. Saturday, May 21, 2011. Are you tired hearing about birds yet? Since we were getting three day old baby ducks it was easy for us to decide to get ready to lay hens (4 months old) as opposed to newly hatched. We still have three chickens from our first 'batch', which meant we needed to introduce the new birds to the old ones. To help transition everyone and avoid a problem with bullying we were given advice on how to fool them all. I was just catching up on your blog and starting crying!

life in africa in miniature

Life in africa in miniature. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Stopped here for a couple hours to let the storm pass. View from my porch. More scenery from the dining room. The rooms from the outside. Where I stayed the night - and froze! I pulled the towels from the bathroom and used them as blankets). Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Our friends had bananas ready to be harvested and invited us over for the experience. Each banana stalk only produces once, then dies - so we cut off the bananas, then cut down the stalk.

Life In A Fruit Basket

Be the first to comment! Cheers to one and all! I would've already blogged about another birthday celebration at a ridiculously. Swanky place and put on a new outfit that would make me really, really, really ridiculously good-looking but I feel like skipping that altogether this year and give what I normally spend on this day to some of my fave charities. So yeah. Cake and icecream at home it is. PS Don't worry, I might go back to being really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking next year. Model W...

Life in a Gaggle | …lotsa noise & joys.

Life in a Gaggle. 8230;lotsa noise and joys. August 6, 2013. It yawns open in front of us in the everyday. The locusts singing their freedom from a crisp, frail shell to wings. The evening sky in sunset celebration of daylight’s bittersweet embrace of dark. Another child peering over the edge of adulthood, not even fully aware of the transition happening. Blessedly, I’ve learned (finally grown up a bit? On a warm summer’s eve. On a train bound for nowhere. I met up with the gambler. He said, “Son, ...

You wake up in the most beautiful, lush, garden imaginable - no bed to make, no sheets to change (and wash). Life In A Glass House

Life In A Glass House. The ramblings of a whisky loving, post-punk listening, University attending cynical student. Who looks 30 and feels it too. Wednesday, 16 March 2011. This bile, this sorry excuse for a blog and there were a small minority who actually enjoyed this shit, which made me happy. Then I ran out of ideas, people stopped reading and so I stopped. But I need a punching bag, so I'm going to be writing again. But my hand wasn't. So I have a Keith Lemon- esque. My American friend from New York...
