Life in the Short Stacks: The Machine of the World

http://lifeintheshortstacks.blogspot.com/2008/07/machine-of-world.html

Life in the Short Stacks. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. The Machine of the World. If you like stories off the beaten path, you'll love Machine of the World. (Now available at Amazon). It's a great social commentary nicely tucked inside a fascinating world of mystery, intrigue, and death. The main character, Inez, is a nice foil for Prince Laslo and Princess Lydia who cannot see the threat of the end of civilization for their love of money and power. The Short Stack Librarian. Life in the Short Stacks: Universal Unitarian's are Mourning

http://lifeintheshortstacks.blogspot.com/2008/08/universal-unitarians-are-mourning.html

Life in the Short Stacks. Friday, August 1, 2008. Universal Unitarian's are Mourning. This post was taken from a fellow UU's and CFL member's blog. I couldn't have said it better. There is also a great link at the end to another blog entry regarding this. Http:/ scrapsnthread.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-am-unitarian-universalist.html. Thursday, July 31, 2008. I am a Unitarian Universalist. UUs are a liberal denomination. Wrote a poem which goes (depending on which translation you read):. I remained silent;.

Chatham County Line: growing up

http://chathamcountyline.blogspot.com/2008/08/growing-up.html

Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Originally uploaded by Woody Dam Road. This morning Ossie wanted to lie in bed, alone, listening to Pearl Jam's "Better Man" over and over. And he wanted milk in his sippy cup. He did NOT want his babysitter (who is lovely, not incidently). When did this kid enter this cranky goth phase? I wish I had taken a picture of Matilda rocking out while Ossie pretended to play the drums. The fall semester is about to begin and summer is nearly over. Le sigh. August 21, 2008 at 7:10 AM.

Chatham County Line: what's next?

http://chathamcountyline.blogspot.com/2010/05/whats-next.html

Saturday, May 1, 2010. Jeff and the kids and the little dogs have all gone to Maryland for a few days. Jeff is fixing up the Gannon porch. I decided to stay home with Basho and fix up our own house and maybe finish my grading once and for all. I'm not planning on teaching that requires this kind of grading ever again. Soo happy about that. So. Posted by Chatham Community Library. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter. Local links and resources. Jeff whirls abo...

http://chathamcountyline.blogspot.com/2008/07/im-at-work-which-means-no-pictures.html

Tuesday, July 1, 2008. I'm at work, which means no pictures again. This is always my dilemma. The only place with time and non-children space to write is at work (apologies to The Man for writing in this blog on his dime), but our flickr site is blocked (Riddle me this: I work at an insitution of higher learning and yet I cannot access about 7/8 of the Internet). So no picture. If I could share two pictures, they would be these:. Ossie has been alternating charming and dreadful this summer. The charm...

Chatham County Line: The no picture entry

http://chathamcountyline.blogspot.com/2008/06/no-picture-entry.html

Tuesday, June 17, 2008. The no picture entry. Round two of the grandparents bonanza is in full swing this week. Jeff's folks are in town to woo their grandkids and make our garden and house pretty again. Ossie is easy. He ran into the bathroom while I was in the midst of my morning ablutions, busting with happiness. A new bird book! From Grandma and Pop-pop! He bursts with happiness often these days. Yesterday, jumping across a broomstick, he yelled, "I'm flying! Anything but the Wiggles, is what I say.

Saturday, May 24, 2008. The mystery of the squeaky toy. Originally uploaded by Woody Dam Road. The other night after putting Ossie to bed across the hall (across the breezeway to what is the right side of the house in this image) we heard the sounds of a squeaky toy through the baby monitor. All three dogs were with us though and all sans squeaky toys. Best guess here is that it was a racoon. Posted by Chatham Community Library. Sunday, May 18, 2008.
