This lady sewed her quilt over 5 years and her quilt design has been converted into a book form so we can make our own "Jane " quilt. So I have begun.hand sewing it all. There are the first 8 of 225! Chicken Licken's Creations: Pinwheels....
http://chickenlickenscreations.blogspot.com/2014/07/pinwheels.html
Wednesday, 30 July 2014. I get very distracted in the holidays.I am meant to be packing but I keep getting sidetracked by my stashes of fabric lying about! I got this fabric at Sandown.just £5 a metre. Look at these fab little houses. When I was in America last year I bought a twister tool that is an easy way to make pinwheel quilts. I have been desperate to try it out so today I quickly whizzed up some four patches. Just look at my nested seams! And here it is all together! I like the bold pinwheels.

A place for my photos, all of their very own! Saturday, February 7, 2015. The 2015 Kew Orchid Display. Just inside the door (forgive this picture,I had the camera on the wrong setting and forgot to take another one on my way out). A feast of colour greets you. Orchids and a fair few Bromeliads too. Great balls of fire, as Jerry Lee Lewis might have said. And I adored the bees! There were several of these, twisting gently to look as if they were moving. so clever. Pinks and reds and purples. A place for my photos, all of their very own! Saturday, November 8, 2014. The Tower of London - and Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. Hi, just home from another lovely day out with Lin, at the Tower of London - we enjoyed it so much last time, and as we didn't get to see everything, we wanted to go back - and to have another look at the stunning art installation that has captured the world (and I think most of them were there today! So, forgive me, this post is very picture heavy! View of Tower Bridge.

A place for my photos, all of their very own! Saturday, February 22, 2014. After a long absence - the return to Kew - and my new camera. I have been itching to take my new camera on an outing to my favourite place and today was the day - oh the joy of being able to come home and download the photos immediately, none of this waiting around for the shop to develop the films! Bright banners welcoming you! And a display alongside also in the pond. The stars of the show. A wall of orchids. Blue skies, and som...

A place for my photos, all of their very own! Saturday, July 25, 2015. Another trip to Kew . another lovely day! Hope you're not fed up with these days at Kew of mine. I'm going to keep going anyway! Fantastic blue of the agapanthas. This bed is going over but I love the wispy pinks. The central Parterre outside the Palm House is still fabulous though. I thought at first the water wasn't on at the fountain but the jets were just lower than often. And the giant gunnera is huge now. It towers over me.

Chicken Licken's Creations: March 2014
http://chickenlickenscreations.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 March 2014. So what to show you first? It would appear from the lack of post on my blog that I have been doing nothing. But let me assure you, nothing could be further from the truth! I have finally finished a tunic style jumper I was knitting for myself. In this picture it looks a rather dingy colour but it is in fact, a rather lovely meadow green. It fits well but I think if I did it again, I would make it a bit longer. I rather like this moss stitch detail on the shoulder. So two more finis...
