After traveling and seeing many thing related to Dia de los Muertes, on Sunday (the actual holiday) we decided to trave back to Real de Monte to see the Prince! November 18, 2014. Off to see the Prince! Once we got back to the bus station the woman insisted we should have stayed there, even though she sent us to the wrong place. Frustrating. Finally, we made it on to the right bus. It took us two hours to get to the city we needed and then it was an extra hour taxi ride to the hot springs. When we finally got there we enjoyed a quick meal. Even though we met at the bus station at 9 am, we did not get to our destination until 2 pm. November 18, 2014 at 4:22 pm.

FIRST DAY OF TEACHING! September 20, 2014. First Week Teaching →. Today was my first day of teaching! I cannot believe I am finally able to say I am a teacher! Then I got the blue group (19 students) and again everything went smoothly! I had more time with this class since Homenaje was only with my first group. So I was able to begin our big project for the week with this group, the “I Am” Poems. Thank you Debbie Mason for giving me a copy of this when I was your student teacher! I LOVE MY JOB!

October 5, 2014. Pastes Festival →. Yesterday was a wonderful day for a small adventure with Kelly, Yadira, and Afaf. We decided to got o Huasca which is a small town outside of Pachuca. We have heard only good things about this town and were ready to see it! It took about 30-40 minutes to get there by combi, and unfortunately we left the sun behind in Pachuca. It was overcast higher in the mountains. I really enjoyed seeing all the waterfalls. These were probably some of the biggest I have ever seen!
