Young Adult Literature Lover: The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau
http://lisadgibson.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-testing-by-joelle-charbonneau.html
A Bit About Me. Rating Scale for Reviews. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau. A blurb from the author's website. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Isn’t that what they say? But how close is too close when they may be one in the same? But surely she can trust Tomas, her handsome childhood friend who offers an alliance? 8220;The Testing”, the first in a trilogy, was fabulous! While it did remind me of the Hunger Games, it’s very different as well. The building relatio...
Young Adult Literature Lover: November 2012
http://lisadgibson.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
A Bit About Me. Rating Scale for Reviews. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. A brief bit from the author's website. So … happy? What is it about him that makes her let down her guard and finally talk about how much she misses her father, who died before her eyes the year before? I picked this book up towards the end of summer and thought maybe it would be a way to usher the summer out and fall in. Loved the characters in this book! Oh, and tomorrow is my birthday! Juliet...
Young Adult Literature Lover: January 2013
http://lisadgibson.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A Bit About Me. Rating Scale for Reviews. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. Here's a blurb from the author's webpage. 8220;Where’s Polly? 8221; I asked as I dropped the bucket down the well. “Did you pass by the blacksmith’s? 8220;I spoke with her mother, with Mistress Logan,” Mother answered softly, looking at her neat rows of carrots. 8221; I waved a mosquito away from my face. I released the handle and the bucket splashed, a distant sound. Ms Anderson is a wonderful write...
Young Adult Literature Lover: Screwed by Laurie Plissner
http://lisadgibson.blogspot.com/2013/06/screwed-by-laurie-plissner.html
A Bit About Me. Rating Scale for Reviews. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Screwed by Laurie Plissner. A short blurb from. The author’s website. Girl- the good girl who got knocked up. I loved this book! I really liked how there were little vignettes on the more major characters. It really gave you a good glimpse into everyone and their reasoning for doing the things they do. The characters were wonderful; flawed, rich, full of life. I loved Grace for standing by her convictions, come what may. Hoàn toàn miễn phí.

Tired but Writing..: March 2011
http://tiredbutwriting.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A place where you can sit back and enjoy the struggles of someone who has no time for writing but apparently has time for a blog. Saturday, March 26, 2011. While researching.I found a monster. I've been researching for the perfect animal to turn into something crazy/weird/magical and have run into some odd Google images. This one in particular I cannot wrap my head around. And I have a pretty big head. Should I assume that English Mastiffs are part of a steroid testing center? Friday, March 25, 2011.

A place where you can sit back and enjoy the struggles of someone who has no time for writing but apparently has time for a blog. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Point of View Askew. Ah, the mental battle of deciding what point of view to use. Nothing punches you in the face hundreds of times the way choosing a point of view does. Well, for me anyways. What's really fun is when you get 25k words in and think "Hey, this would be great if it was in first person! How does a sun dress go with a hunting knife anyway?

Lisa & Dewey - South East Asia
Lisa and Dewey - South East Asia. Monday, November 28, 2011. For our last days in Burma we returned to Yangon for a couple days. Now confident that we were going to reach the end of our Burmese days without running out of money, we headed back to the big central market for a little souvenir shopping (not the tacky kind). In between the 2000-odd stalls in the central market are a variety of food vendors. Some look more appetizing that others, but they are all full of character. Late at night we arrived in...

lisadgalindo | A great WordPress.com site
A great WordPress.com site. Here’s me…. 2012 Kayaking Kansas River. September 19, 2012. There are great things about the Kansas River! It is a little hard to find public accesses along the Kansas River, but once you get on there are great places to camp and explore. This summer the water was low, at max about 3 1/2 feet deep? That’s my estimate. After about 15 or so miles the first day, we found a sandbar and set up camp. I finally used my very tiny, camp stove and it worked just fine! September 19, 2012.
Young Adult Literature Lover
A Bit About Me. Rating Scale for Reviews. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Dare You To by Katie McGarry. A blurb from the author's webpage. Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him. Beth and Ryan definitely seem at odds in the beginning. Beth is cast as an outsider from the beginning.
