Homemade Happy

Friday, November 16, 2012. Last weekend our local Steiner School celebrated its annual Spring Fair. This was the third year that I have been asked if I would like to share a table with some VERY talented friends in the gallery space. My contribution was smaller than I might have liked but I have been kind of busy this year with my little ones! I also made some folded star lanterns and two felted toadstool houses with playmats. H and Dadda made a wreath for her to wear. A taking it all in. Cut an elongate...

Homemade Happy: January 2012

http://littlehomemadehappy.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Its funny when you have a newborn that while you spend hours feeding the baby you have lots of time to think but no real time to act upon these thoughts and ideas. For me, my thoughts always turn to creative ideas and projects. I had some large balls of DK pure wool that I ordered at the end of last year from Bendigo Woolen Mills and so I started with these. I also had some white wool felt and some Aran weight wool that I picked up a few days earlier. Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

Homemade Happy: Slow down , you move too fast

http://littlehomemadehappy.blogspot.com/2012/11/slow-down-you-move-too-fast.html

Thursday, November 1, 2012. Slow down , you move too fast. Slow down, you move too fast, you've got to make the morning last. Just kickin' down the cobble-stones, lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy. Hello lamp-post, what's cha knowing, I've come to watch your flowers growin'. Ain't cha got no rhymes for me, do-it-do-do, feelin' groovy. I've got no deeds to do, no promises to keep. I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep. Let the morning time drop all its petals on me. Life I love you, all is groovy.

Homemade Happy: Busy Bees

http://littlehomemadehappy.blogspot.com/2012/11/busy-bees.html

Tuesday, November 13, 2012. When we got back to the house I crept inside to get a few things and then we were all set to sit outside and enjoy some sunshine and make bees. Our supplies : Scissors, wool (yarn) in brown and yellow, tulle, Casurina pods and sticks. The process is simple - wind the pod in the yellow wool and then tie off. Cut an elongated oval from the tulle and roughly pleat with your fingers. Cinch in the middle and tie the tulle on using the tails of the yellow wool. Thanks for commenting...

Homemade Happy: May 2012

http://littlehomemadehappy.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 27, 2012. The girls and I have slowley found a rythym to our days whilst A is away at school. It has taken us a while because almost two hours a day are taken up with school drop off and pick up and we also need to accomodate baby L's sleeps. Last week H and I did a craft using some of the beautiful autumn leaves that we are lucky enough to be surrounded by at the moment. These leaf transparencies are so simple yet so effective. Friday, May 18, 2012. Fairy and pouch to gift to a friend. Some ...

Little Home in the Woods

Little Home in the Woods. Tuesday, March 26, 2013. DIY menu board, labels, and a new stove! This is one of those fun and easy projects, that really is useful! I found a frame at a thrift shop, backed it with scrapbook supplies, and added clothes pins, and a little paper covered box. I laminated our basic meals so we can clip them on the desired day. The clothes pins are painted lightly, I also added a sticker to represent each day. I like this because even my younger kids can help plan meals. Brady's did...

Thursday, 22 September 2011.

Little Homemade Housewife

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Bon's Book Club - My Story by Elizabeth Smart. So this month's book was My Story by Elizabeth Smart. Now I will admit, reading this seemed like it would be.less than delightful, given the topic at hand. And to be honest? It obviously wasn't one of those books you supremely enjoy reading. Mostly because, at heart, it is about a young girl who got kidnapped and repeatedly brutalized. I highly doubt there are many of us out there that would enjoy such a tale. Maybe it was just b...
