Lmb Technology and Fine Art. Saturday, October 11, 2008. October 4, 2008. I missed class as I was busy being the "Queen of Spades" at Juneau-Gastineau Rotary Bulb Sale / Distribution. I spent some time becoming reacquainted with Painter and was inspired by the stormy fall days we are having. Using the Palette Knife and the Color Palette I created version A. Using Marbleizing, under Effects, I created version B, " Autumn Storm". Thursday, October 2, 2008. September 27, 2008. Saturday, September 27, 2008.

Lmb Technology and Fine Art. Saturday, September 27, 2008. September 18, 2008. I started out with a "sketchie" drawing of bottles. After scanning the drawing I transformed it into a drawing using the paint brush and then played around with color and some artistic filters - glass and noise. I wanted a more transparent appearance so adjusted the opacity and used the gradient tool.it was not an instant transformation.more a process of discovery. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lmb Technology and Fine Art. Thursday, October 2, 2008. September 27, 2008. We focused on channels, layers and selections in Photoshop. I need to spend some time using channels and then. Layers and get a better feel for how one may be a better choice than the other to apply on particular project. I will be following the class as you go along. Kind of wish i was in there too, but i have plenty to do right now. October 3, 2008 at 10:27 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). October 4, 2008.

Technology and Fine Art: Class 6: Look Ma, No Art School

http://technologyandfineart.blogspot.com/2008/10/class-6-look-ma-no-art-school.html

Saturday, October 11, 2008. Class 6: Look Ma, No Art School. This week I showed off one of Painter's many magical tools: Quick Clone. Quick Clone allows anyone with a good (and sometime not so good) photo to use some of Painter's best brushes to simulate a painting done from "scratch" with real media. The process begs the question: Is it cheating? Posted by John Fehringer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Creative Borders in Photoshop. Hair Selection With Channels. The Photoshop Tool Bar.

Technology and Fine Art: September 2008

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Class 4 - My head hurts. We covered some thick material in our 4th class - Channels and Layers. Though fundamentally different, the two can be used in similar ways which can cause some confusion. The goal was to outline their differences. There really is no fight between which is better, layers or channels. Actually, layers and channels are two very different parts of the image puzzle in Photoshop. Each are used for separate and specific purposes. TIP: Before you flatten and ...

http://technologyandfineart.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 8, 2008. We are coming to the end of the semester for our class and it's time to print out the work and get ready for the show at Juneau Arts and Humanities Council, December 5th at 4pm. There's a number of great pieces I see coming out of this semester's student work and I am looking forward to the show with great anticipation. At the show opening, we will have live music from the Thunder. Posted by John Fehringer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Creative Borders in Photoshop.

Technology and Fine Art: First Class

http://technologyandfineart.blogspot.com/2008/09/first-class.html

Thursday, September 11, 2008. Class started a little late due to the building being on a late timer for opening and letting us in. UAS has promised me that my swipe card has been fixed and I should have full access this weekend. It took about 20 minutes for setup and the class was underway. I like the make-up of the class - some people with experience from last semester's class. Approach to creating art on the computer. Posted by John Fehringer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
