Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Tuesday, 9 September 2008. Forum - Semester 4 - Week 6. What would you feel like if you heard this? Like most of the times I had not done my job and again like most of the times I opted to improvise (bloody self-confidence! Which according to Stephen turned out to be a dodgy experiment. Let's say it failed, which by itself is a valid result for an experiment. Back to the main issue, the "sound-an...

Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Monday, 1 September 2008. AA2 - Semester 4 - Week 5. Designing sound for game; first practical step. This week's story is about a software introduced to us by Christian. FMOD Designer is one of the first steps of ours towards manipulating the sounds and preparing them for a game. For the first part, we just tested few basic functions of the software and observed the outcome. Christian Haines....

little vegetables: forum - week 10 - honours presentation
http://littlevegetables.blogspot.com/2008/10/forum-week-10-honours-presentation.html
To do with study la Adelaide University. Friday, 17 October 2008. Forum - week 10 - honours presentation. Once again the images are tenuously related to textual content. This weeks award for most exciting presentation goes to Martin Victory for his sonification of network packets! Whilst the presentation itself lacked any excitement and razzle dazzle (where were the dancing bears? It was the choice of material to sonify that won the day. Victory, Martin. "Honours Presentation". Workshop presented...Aa2 -...

little vegetables: cc2 - week 06 - music and signal processing
http://littlevegetables.blogspot.com/2008/09/cc2-week-06-something.html
To do with study la Adelaide University. Tuesday, 9 September 2008. Cc2 - week 06 - music and signal processing. I thought it would be fun to create a melodic synth using variable length buffer playback. So using the groove object, and converting midi pitch to milli seconds to control loop end point, bob's your uncle. I would have liked to use the note on to trigger the loop from the start, this would have made longer loops potentially more interesting, however it did not eventuate. Mtf - w33k 05 - negat...

little vegetables: aa2 - week 08 - Rocks'n'Diamonds game audio
http://littlevegetables.blogspot.com/2008/10/aa2-week-07-rocksndiamonds-game-audio.html
To do with study la Adelaide University. Sunday, 5 October 2008. Aa2 - week 08 - Rocks'n'Diamonds game audio. Rocks'n'Diamonds is a game styllistically based on the 1984 personal computer game Boulderdash. To complete this project I will have to create about 36 sounds. Including background music, level completed (Hall of Fame), and play action sounds. The game engine does feature the ability to play .mod files. Unfortunately these are not accurately represented on my Windows system so I will not ...Aa2 -...

Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Monday, 1 September 2008. CC2 - Semester 4 - Week 5. For this week, I undertook another approach to designing my device;. Yet again, my biggest issue was the incompatibility of MAX withing the contexts of OSX and PC. This software is simply NOT CROSS-PLATFORM. Nevertheless, like most of the other times, I opt to finalise my patch in OSX. Labels: Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Forum - Semes...

Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Friday, 8 August 2008. Forum - Semester 4 - Week 2. This week's Forum session "My Favourite Things" was presented by David Harris. David talked about his collaboration with the quartet Grainger in a three-concert series in 2008. For some reason -which I didn't really understand- we were ought to follow the scores for the pieces; I lost both music and the scores at the end though. David Harris....

Most of my time this week was spent of providing help files for last week’s exercises. Still, I have issues understanding the fundamental differences of Max and MSP; however, I hope –and it seems like- there are not much basic dissimilarities in the logics and the application of various algorithms. Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Thursday, 18 September 2008. Forum - Semester 4 - Week 7. Edward presented his work of last semester in Max. Despite the fact that there was no sound, I liked his idea of associating vision and sound. Unfortunately there would be no more Pink Floyd concerts (Richard Wright passed away) but if there were anything similar, I think Edward can potentially take a role in that. View my complete profile.

Audio Arts - 2008 Semester 2. Creative Computing - 2008 Semester 2. Music Technology Forum - 2008 Semester 2. Tuesday, 19 August 2008. CC2 - Semester 4 - Week 3. What I chose to polyphonies, was my last week's patch which was generating signals using a "cycle " object and ramping its volume from full scale (100) to minimum (0). I made a device that gets 5 inputs and constantly ramps their volume up and down in period of 2 seconds. The result is actually pretty nice! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
