Raccoons and Other Furry Wildlife: November 2006

September 17, 2008. That is like having a bunch of adolescents with too much time on their hands. One of Burtha's cubs is to the right, and below is a photo of both cubs passing behind the fir tree, just to show that these are the cubs, and that Momma bear is definitely a size to be reckoned with. Or "Where are your cubs so I don't walk between you and them? Unfortunately the road is a frequently travelled one, ( Seymour Mountain. There are other bears living in our woods, but they are a little more resp...

The Jays love to hide peanuts every bit as much as the squirrels do. It sometimes surprises us that this climate is conducive to the raising of peanut plants as we use bird grade peanuts, rather than human grade. No, you can't share, get your own. Pepper: Early Days - Lifetime #3
http://pat-fearlessfosdick.blogspot.com/2008/03/early-days.html
The URL for this site is named "Fearless Fosdick" because Pepper is so totally fearless, and curious. Quite a handful for the whole household! Friday, March 28, 2008. Early Days - Lifetime #3. These photos were kindly provided by Pepper's former home at the veterinary office. Pepper learned social skills early as Melissa tends to have a collection of active strays in tow. Sometimes it is hard to remember that she is basically a dog person. ;-). Veterinary Diet for Important Kittens below:. Useful Product...

Raptors: Barred Owl
http://patsraptors.blogspot.com/2007/08/barred-owl.html
Sunday, August 26, 2007. Upon close inspection in daylight, we think this is a Barred Owl. She has been seen stalking our boys when they are on the deck at night. Shortly before the photo at left was taken, one of the squirrels in a nearby tree had obviously been traumatized while sleeping in the branches. Squirrels are not smart in that they make noise incessantly once they have been frightened, which, of course, allows the owl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Raccoons and Other Furry Wildlife.

Raptors: Cooper's Hawk
http://patsraptors.blogspot.com/2007/08/coopers-hawk.html
Sunday, August 12, 2007. This morning we had a couple of Cooper's Hawks. Going after the young, inexperienced crows. This surprised me as the crows were slightly bigger, however, I appreciated the time to take a few photos as one hawk. Had to hide from the angry crows for a time. And, after posing for about 74 photos, he/she got bored and left. Labels: Coopers Hawk Crows. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Raccoons and Other Furry Wildlife. Diabetic Cats Dietary Management.

Clematis: November 2009
http://clematiscollection.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. With all the moving and digging we have been doing, some of our clematis plants have been recovering in pots, and two or three haven't done well. We lost Crystal Fountain as it was in a pot during one of the coldest of winters that passed during 2008/2009. So sad! We are looking for a replacement as it was one we loved and we will just have to learn to put the plants into the ground ASAP. I think it was just rotting weeds there. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
