Where's Dinner

We aren't in a position to talk, though, as only a bear would have carted off the corn cobs the way we saw the path one morning. It would have been nice if they had waited until the cobs were fully ripe so that we could at least have had a taste - to let us know whether we wanted to go to all the trouble of feeding them again NEXT year! No, you can't share, get your own. Peaches and Cream Prize! Steep hill.almost dropped the prize. Watch for traffic on two feet, left. Envious neighbour, above. Stones Fro...

Peaches and Cream Prize! Steep hill.almost dropped the prize. Watch for traffic on two feet, left. Envious neighbour, above. And we store it where the crows and other scroungers can take it from us, high on the end of a tree branch. Duh! Apples are often treated like candy if you cut them into pieces the squirrels can pick up. Skins are avoided. Sunflower seeds can get one into trouble! Squirrels like peanuts in the shell. And a Yellow Egg Plum is something to try to carry home. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Jays love to hide peanuts every bit as much as the squirrels do. It sometimes surprises us that this climate is conducive to the raising of peanut plants as we use bird grade peanuts, rather than human grade. No, you can't share, get your own. Raccoons and Other Furry Wildlife: November 2006

http://raccoonsandotherwildlife.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

September 17, 2008. That is like having a bunch of adolescents with too much time on their hands. One of Burtha's cubs is to the right, and below is a photo of both cubs passing behind the fir tree, just to show that these are the cubs, and that Momma bear is definitely a size to be reckoned with. Or "Where are your cubs so I don't walk between you and them? Unfortunately the road is a frequently travelled one, ( Seymour Mountain. The URL for this site is named "Fearless Fosdick" because Pepper is so totally fearless, and curious. Quite a handful for the whole household! Friday, March 28, 2008. Early Days - Lifetime #3. These photos were kindly provided by Pepper's former home at the veterinary office. Pepper learned social skills early as Melissa tends to have a collection of active strays in tow. Sometimes it is hard to remember that she is basically a dog person. ;-). Veterinary Diet for Important Kittens below:. Useful Product...

Raptors: Barred Owl

http://patsraptors.blogspot.com/2007/08/barred-owl.html

Sunday, August 26, 2007. Upon close inspection in daylight, we think this is a Barred Owl. She has been seen stalking our boys when they are on the deck at night. Shortly before the photo at left was taken, one of the squirrels in a nearby tree had obviously been traumatized while sleeping in the branches. Squirrels are not smart in that they make noise incessantly once they have been frightened, which, of course, allows the owl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Raccoons and Other Furry Wildlife.

Last evening we were taking a drive through all the newly built area across the inlet from where we live, and I no longer think our place is. I look forward to adding photos. A second animal living in the woods next to us that has been too elusive for photographic capture is the bobcat. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where's Dinner - What the Wildlife Eat. Raptors: Other Local Raptors

http://patsraptors.blogspot.com/2007/06/local-raptors.html

Sunday, June 24, 2007. This is, so far, the only shot I have of an eagle. Showing the white head that allows for identification. The eagle. Was a parent of the baby we found below their nest, lying in a city parking lot. My understanding was that there was a second baby in the nest, and I assume this parent was on guard while the other hunted for food. We have also seen a Golden Eagle. Because they lack the white head and tail, and have a slightly different wing span shape. Diabetic Cats Dietary Manageme...

Where's Dim Sum?

Dim Sum" is a white cat camouflaged (or not) in the sceneries of Second Life. Complete a 365 project. 326 - Sniffing around the crab traps. Dim Sum sniffs at the smelly crab traps, but she's glad they're empty. At least I think they're crab traps. The real-life crab traps I know are baskets. I realized that the waterfront is really just a small part of the sim; there's a whole lot more to explore. So, the next series would probably still be in this sim. This site is for people who don't usually cook. Simple but fun recipes. My new friend, Stella, in the Half Way hut at the golf club was so impressed with this recipe that she thinks she might serve it up for the golfers! I think she said golfers…it might have been gofers. I need to speak to her about this. If you are a member at Hartley Wintney Golf Club though you need to sample her Rock Cakes…Bloody marvelous. Serves 4 or just 2 very hungry people. Takes about one and a half hours. 500g lean minced beef.

I CAN'T FIND THIS BIRD! This guy I know - Eric - went on vacation and weaseled me in watching his prize pigeon, Dippy. Naturally the bird disappeared and now if I don't find it I'm one hundred percent f- ked. PLEASE HELP! This might be him:. Took this shot over the weekend when I thought I saw him flying with a wild flock. If you see a pigeon with the same markings, please contact me at once! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
