Scarlet fever, diptheria and measles were also prevalent at this time. While the sanitation problems in the outlying villages continued to be a problem through out the year. Bronchitis and pneumonia were still prevalent in March and there had been a fatal case of typhoid but every precaution had been taken to stop the spread of the disease.

Today is the 34 year anniversary of my original breast cancer diagnosis. I've written the story in the past (and shared it to FB today) so I'll leave it there. I'm forever thankful to still be 'here' and to keep moving forward. A couple of friends have been to visit from sunny CA, and Friday Joey is coming for a brief stay!
