Avix Pics: May 2009
http://avixpics.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday became the day when I used up the rest of my camera's memory card - I hadn't realised I'd got so snap-happy since buying the camera. Over 1000 photos taken since March! I took a wander to snap anything and everything that caught my eye. Here's a very small selection of what I snapped. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Seeing as the weather was glorious I set off for a pootle to the lanes of Dunham. First port of call was Chorlton Water Park. For a loop of the lake and across the Mersey. I thin...

Avix Pics: Dunham
http://avixpics.blogspot.com/2009/04/dunham.html
Dunham Massey is a stunning Georgian House with an extensive Fallow Deer park. With the bright sunshine creating an azure blue sky, the day was ideal to get out and take photos of the wildlife and try to get some more macro practice. The first port of call was to the front of the house itself before hordes of people got in the way of the shot. As it was, I still managed to get some bodies on it, but nowhere near as busy as it got much later in the day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Avix Pics: Summery wanderings
http://avixpics.blogspot.com/2009/05/summery-wanderings.html
Seeing as the weather was glorious I set off for a pootle to the lanes of Dunham. First port of call was Chorlton Water Park. For a loop of the lake and across the Mersey. Then past Kenworthy Wood and the lovely entrance sign for it before heading through Wythenshawe Park. And past the stunning Hall. Once in the Cheshire lanes around Dunham I came across the very sweet Sinderland Methodist Chapel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Blind Leading The Blinds. Thursday, 23 April 2009. Self-Analysis: Is it Helpful or Disconcerting? I was sent a great link via twitter today, which analyses your conversations and works out your personality. I'm likeable, inquisitive and cautious. With a garrulous and coherent. Writing style, apparently, and I'm classified as a talker. On following a link from my analysis, I found out that Hatmandu. Also provides a Blogalyser. Here's how I did:. This suggests that your writing style is conventional.

The Blind Leading The Blinds: No More Staying In
http://blindleadingblinds.blogspot.com/2009/10/no-more-staying-in.html
The Blind Leading The Blinds. Wednesday, 28 October 2009. No More Staying In. In a previous blog post. I mentioned that I needed a new light to guide me along the off-road sections of my rides. I’ve got a set of blinky lights to allow me to be seen on the road, but they’re less than hopeless to actually light my way. In fact, set to flash, they positively blind me when there are no streetlights to show the way. So I dived into fleabay and got busy. 8221;, “ blind. 8221; and “ stun. 8221; setting (narrow ...

The Blind Leading The Blinds. Tuesday, 29 September 2009. Running - No, No Bikes: Purely Temporary. A little over a month ago, I received an email about a 5k run taking place this Sunday, 4th October 2009, in Heaton Park, Manchester. The. Is a fun run aimed at encouraging people to raise money and support the planting of more trees in and around our fair city. Foolishly, I decided to run. Anyone who knows me, knows I enjoy cycling. They also know how unfit I am. In our weekly. Links to this post. Fatness...

The Blind Leading The Blinds. Tuesday, 25 August 2009. Media Players: Western Digital WDTV HD Media Player v. Freecom WLAN 450. Western Digital vs. Freecom in a straight fight. I’ve owned a Freecom 450 WLAN media player for a year or more now, and it’s brought us much joy. With a 1TB drive installed, it’s been storing and playing all the family’s photos, music and movies since it was bought. However, there are things I didn’t like about it:. 2 The formats for playing video are limited;. I was at work, so...

The Blind Leading The Blinds: Oooooh! Aaaaaaah!
http://blindleadingblinds.blogspot.com/2009/11/oooooh-aaaaaaah.html
The Blind Leading The Blinds. Friday, 6 November 2009. It's not what you think! Remember, remember, last night was Bonfire Night. The night in which we celebrate the possibly misguided life of a Roman Catholic who found himself hung, drawn and 'cut into four pieces' (as my daughter so nicely put it) for giving up on demoracy. But, historical justification forgotten, it's actually the night we just have a bit of fun, burn effigies and set off fireworks. I hope you like the photos. 6 November 2009 at 13:48.

The Blind Leading The Blinds. Tuesday, 30 June 2009. All Hands On Deck. Ing. All Hands On Decking. It’s traditional in the British Early Summertime to get a little too carried away with DIY projects and I’m no exception. I bought the decking from. In my case, I had to cut down 2 joists of 5m and one of 3m, to make 5 x 2.5m joists. The 30cm waste piece comes in handy later! Altogether I now had 2 x 3m joists, plus my 5 x 2.5m ones. We’ve eaten our evening meals outside every day it’s not raine...I’m...
