Sunday, July 28, 2013. One month of summer down, one more to go! We went camping for Father's Day weekend. It was fun to see how much fun the kids had just sleeping in a tent and going on little hikes. I'm also enjoying how I feel we are growing together as a family-learning how to work and play together. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. We are in Utah. And we are *mostly* unpacked. Don't ask me about the basement or the guest room. We hung the TV over the fireplace. Because it's all set up for that already. I hate TVs over the fireplace. Huh, no picture of the actual tv.just the process. Without really thinking about the consequences. I started stripping the wallpaper off the wall of the dining room. Now it looks really terrible. And I'm tired of doing it. Isabelle has decided we are ok. Then we put on a show.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Happy Birthday to Frank! It's Frank's birthday and he's 51. Holy cow, that's old. I made him a homemade german chocolate cake. That's his favorite kind. And I made one for his big 50th birthday surprise party in Oregon. It was one of the best tasting cakes I've ever made. Even though it's time consuming. So to prove my true love and devotion. Friday, August 14, 2015. Last outing with Isabelle. For my last outing with Isabelle, we decided to check out The Puppy Barn. This is near my house and a number of people have told me I should go there. And, yes, Isabelle loved it! The point of the place is to adopt out the puppies. But they let you pet and hold them which is nice. Isabelle loved the dogs but she also loved the automatic hand sanitizer machines that we had to use between after we held a puppy. So easy to please. Thursday, April 9, 2015. A really nice weekend with Hadley. Hadley had Friday off of school so she requested a mommy-daughter date. I was pleased to oblige. We took a chilly hike together and sat on a bridge and looked at the river and chatted. Then we came home and had a quick scrambled egg snack, and then headed off for storytime. This time, we stayed on the trail the entire way –keep following the white dots! It was 10 miles total distance hiked and 3,000 ft elevation gain (and lost).
