Fit Mom in Barrhaven. Find me on the Losing it in Ottawa Blog. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Chasing a Dream: The 4:15 Marathon (Part 1). I've been chasing a Marathon PR for three years! Every since running my first Marathon in 2012, I have been trying to recreate not only that time but that feeling! I ran with such joy in my heart that day. I swear I cried tears of happiness for 26.2 miles. I made this picture college right before running my 5th Marathon to remind me of where I had come from. I took my train...

Kids in the Capital. October 7, 2010 · 3:17 pm. We have had some great family. Lately, but it has been much too long since we have had a moms only. We figured it was definitely time to change that. Given the busyness of Fall we wanted to plan a meetup that would help us all relax. And nothing says relaxation like a trip to Le Nordik. So write this in your calendars: A Kids in the Capital meetup at Le Nordik. Nervous about coming because you won’t know anyone? Will we see you there? As the song says,.

Mis(s)Mannered Mom: August 2013

As a Mom, I try to be a role model. I try to teach right from wrong and how to be a good person. But, I also have many opinions and vents that need airing! So-it may not always be pretty. But it'll always be interesting, make you think, or teach you which fork to start with when dining. Friday, August 23, 2013. Vacay And Lazy Days. I've been given the nudge that my blog was delinquent and I better get on task regarding a new post. You ask and you shall receive, my fine readers. :). I've had an INCREDIBLE.

All Over The Map. Do you hear what I hear? Lather, rinse, repeat. (Or: This is your brain on kids). This morning I was in the shower… too much information? This morning I was in the shower. I was conditioning my hair when I suddenly couldn’t remember whether I had shampooed yet. I had to rinse it all out and start again. That’s right, I looked at my daughter and couldn’t tell front from back. But I can’t remember what any of them are. This is your brain on kids. Dec 21, 2011. I can DEFINITELY relate!

Gliding Through Motherhood: August 2010
http://mommyhoodforlara.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 23, 2010. I am still nursing my 15 month old twins. I am happy to still be doing that and have no huge desire to start the weaning process. EXCEPT. In the last few weeks Juliette has learned to ask. The first time she did it I was tickled - it was so cute. I always use a pillow when I nurse so she would find a pillow and drag it over to me. Tiny girl dragging big pillow. CUTE. SO Do I expect she'll start giving up as I continue saying no? Is this common for some children who nurse longer?

Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Munchie goes dairy free. Okay, so this post isn't about me. And it may be a little TMI for any of you with sensitive stomachs, so there's your fair warning. I talked a few weeks (months? That's an easy fix and one we can certainly deal with, as Jared and I eat very little dairy at this point. If it doesn't, we'll reassess and think about cutting out gluten, which will definitely be harder for Munchie. She does love her pitas and crackers. Munchie loves to read. :). Ah, yes&#...

Healthy Stayfunny: Today is the day!
http://stayfunnystartsherjourney.blogspot.com/2011/09/today-is-day.html
Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Today is the day! Back in June, my dear friend Katie posted a series of images to mark her half marathon that she was going to do last weekend. From the series of images this one stuck a cord with me. I printed a bunch of them, left them here and there, gave them to some friends at work…. 8221;… I wasn’t ready and there yet. Life sometimes throw you a curve ball and this is the time for me to tackle it and hit my home-run. This is the START of my journey. And I went a third...
