Losing It Over Here. Adventures in gastric sleeving. March 31, 2014. I have also had periods of time when I’ve been very blue and not quite understanding why. It is hard for me to keep perspective. One year ago, on the surface my life was the same. I had the same work, the same volunteer obligations. My family situation was stable (same people, same house, same pets.) This past week, for the first time, I feel like I have busted out of my plastic bubble of home, work, and recovery. I was able to repeat this at another reception last night. Still, when I got home I thought, “What am I having for dinner? It’s not all sunshine and roses, but this week I feel like I’ve got this thing under control and I am grateful for that. Holiday and travel success.
