Livin' la vida Ortiz. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. July is always a very busy month for us. Rebekah has a birthday on the 11th and Nelson has one on the 28th. The old and the young together, right? The kids and I also filled our days with all sorts of fun activities. The Circus came to town (as it does every year, yes I know). The kids were thrilled and loved every minute of it! The motorcycles in the sphere and the lion tamer were especially fun to watch. One of my favorite photos of all time!

Livin' la vida Ortiz. Sunday, June 30, 2013. A visit to the past. We visited George Ranch Historical Park this month. I had already planned this activity when I stumbled upon discount tickets. Score! This place was honestly great, one of the top things I've done in Houston so far. I only wish I hadn't waited so long to go. The Ranch also showed cowboys roping cattle and riding. What a fun, educational day we had. A trip to the train museum. Summertime is officially here, which means it's activity time!

Happy 31st birthday to me! Rebekah's 1st grade awards. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Happy birthday to my little Levi! Levi is all about Batman these days. It all started with a pair of hand-me-down pajamas from Miles and Grayson. They are batman pjs with an attachable cape. Talk about the coolest little boy pajamas out there!

Livin' la vida Ortiz. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Houston was expecting icy/snowy conditions so school was cancelled for a couple of days. We didn't end up with much snow, more like icy rain/hail, but the kids loved it! They jumped on the trampoline with all the snow that collected on it. Livin' la vida Ortiz. Monday, March 31, 2014. As always, one of our favorite times here is Houston is Rodeo time! Some of the trail riders ride passed the schools the day before the Rodeo starts. The kids are always excited to dress up in their favorite cowboy/girl gear and watch the trail riders go by. We went to the rodeo with some friends this year. The kids had fun, as always.
