For The Love of the Run. Monday, May 20, 2013. Cruel Jewel 100- A report long enough to do the race justice. It was all for this. Warning: This report, like the race is gratuitously long. Go grab a beer, and maybe even a meal. You'll be here a little while. Friday started after a surprisingly uneventful night's sleep and a 5:45 alarm to meet up with Eric. Finished: 40:02. Finishing is all. I'm writing this on Monday night, and I still can't walk without a cane. Will I go back? May 21, 2013 at 1:02 PM.

So Holiday Lake is *supposed* to be an *easy* 50k, the very first race of the Lynchburg Ultra Series and Beast Series. It’s a two-loop course, with the second loop being run in the opposite direction of the first loop, for a total of 32 miles. There is an 8 hour cut off, requiring an overall 15 min/mi pace. Love and running; the keys to a life full of happiness. August 5, 2011 1 Comment. Today I gave up the treadmill and headed outside for some fresh air. I ran and ran and ran around a track. Not just one steady pace, but I varied it. I did sprints and fast runs and slow jogs and everything in between and towards the end, I was tired. I ran a few miles at pace and it just felt so good 🙂. I just had to get that out there, there is nothing like running outside. Nothing even comes close. See you on the track!
