Welcome to the Pain Cave. It never always gets worse. 2014 Holiday Lake 50k Race Report. So Holiday Lake is *supposed* to be an *easy* 50k, the very first race of the Lynchburg Ultra Series and Beast Series. It’s a two-loop course, with the second loop being run in the opposite direction of the first loop, for a total of 32 miles. There is an 8 hour cut off, requiring an overall 15 min/mi pace.
