Tuesday, October 04, 2005. Iterative bg removal: bilayer 3 0.4-c. I attempted doing a long range fit (newstd srinner, from 1.1 to 3.8 Ang) and using it to generate standards for the iterative background removal on bilayer3 0.4-c. The results in sig 2 did not change however, and the rs files looked worse. I believe the problem was that newstd srinner was a poor fit to the data. I used the following process as prescribed by Bud:. 1)Longrange fit (1.1-3.8 Ang). 9)FFT the ks files (b in rs). The three low-T ...

LSMO Blog: To do...

http://lsmo.blogspot.com/2005/04/to-do.html

Thursday, April 28, 2005. Now I should go back and look at mag22 0.4-ab and add it in to bilayer3/bilayer1 to see if there's a transition there too. That should be enough for the thesis. Thursday, January 27, 2005. Here are some nice plots that I made for Bud. The pdf versions reside in /analysis/tosend and the original plots made with Origin 6.0 reside on the Windows machine under E: tobrien tosend. Posted by Travis : 10:17 AM 0 comments. Monday, January 24, 2005. Make figures of the ab and c axis data (sig2 vs T) both with the old Debye model fit (718K), showing the poor fit, and the 860K fits showing the potential transition:. Make these figures in Origin. Send to Bud in pdf or ps.

Thursday, May 05, 2005. I've refit mag22 and bilayer 3 over the k=4.0-11.5 range, and adjusted the s02's so that the plots line up. The rogue point seems to be a problem with the beam changing (the lab book notes that just before those scans, the glitch profile changed, which means that somehow the beam-angle changed or something like that). Here are the parameters of my fits:. KRANGE 4.0 11.5 0.3 1. RRANGE 1.1 1.7. CONSTRAINT E1 E1 E1 0 0 -1.47. CONSTRAINT A1 A1 A1 0 0 0.720. CONSTRAINT A2 A1 A1 1 0 0.

LSMO Blog: August-September Update

http://lsmo.blogspot.com/2005/09/august-september-update.html

Thursday, September 22, 2005. Took data in July (mag25) and analyzed it for 0.4-ab. The three low-T points (before the transition) are bad because the cryostat window broke just before taking these data: there was no exchange gas to cool the sample. Who knows what temperature they actually correspond to. The FFT-range of 2.5-11.5 (in reduce) seems to produce good fits. The files with an 'f' appended are these files. Posted by Travis : 3:27 PM. Friday, January 14, 2005. I'm getting nowhere with the analysis of bilayer2. I'm going to try bilayer1 to see if I can get better results. Posted by Travis : 2:18 PM 0 comments. I am going to create the following folders: xxd/tob bil2/rs/0.4-c.current. And xxd/tob bil2/ks/0.4-c.current. I will put the current 0.4-c rs files from Bilayer2 in there and attempt to rereduce the bilayer2 data so that 054mnGg resembles 113b1Gg. It should be taller becuase 054 is at 60K vs 113b1 at 70K, right? K-SPACE-WINDOW EN...

Lisa's Lab Notes: April 2006

http://lmdnotes.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 29, 2006. Here is the LCMO 30% data. The green. Is old high T data showing a nice sharp step. The red. Is the new high T data, showing no such step (and also a static offset - the purple. Is the same data shifted up by .001). Also, I just noticed that the green data above 450K has a very similar slope but is shifted upward and with a bit more scatter. I wonder is there is something wrong with that data that shifted it up. Does de-glitching change the results? Posted by Lisa @ 5:36 PM.
