http://blog.helmerfamily.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Our Adventures Down Under. Sunday, January 16, 2011. Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Wombats. One rainy, but hot and humid, day we ventured out west to Featherdale Wildlife Park. We had a great day getting up close and personal with some of Australia's favorite furry friends! The kids absolutely loved it! Braden and Carson posing for a picture.it is almost next to impossible to get a "normal" picture these days! Petting a wallaby.Davis wasn't so sure yet! Davis was a bit more brave with this one. The Helmer Family: June 2011
http://blog.helmerfamily.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Our Adventures Down Under. Thursday, June 16, 2011. I love riding the ferry from Manly to Circular Quay.it never gets old. There is just something about the Opera House that is amazing. It is iconic and majestic. I never get tired of seeing it. Lucy, Curly, and Mo. Puppy-sitting, again. We fell in love with these Spoodles over the 3-day weekend. And what trip to the city wouldn't be complete without a tantrum on the ferry from Carson! We usually go through this. And sometimes get a few of these. After I ...

The Helmer Family: February 2011
http://blog.helmerfamily.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Our Adventures Down Under. Sunday, February 13, 2011. Braden has loved snorkeling around the beaches, which has peaked his interest in scuba diving. However, he is not quite old enough to get certified, something he reminds of his irritation often! I did some researching and found out that at the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Center they offer a try-a-dive for kids ages 8-12. So we decided to give it a try! This post has a ton of pictures! They are begging for surfboards! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 1st dance c...

The Helmer Family: Cemetery
http://blog.helmerfamily.com/2011/11/cemetery.html
Our Adventures Down Under. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Did you know we live across the street from a city cemetery? It is a very old cemetery, with dates back to the 1800's. My kids love to play in the cemetery. They look for lizards and bugs, they play Hide-n-Seek, and Tip (how the Aussie's say Tag). It's a bit creepy to me, but they sure have fun! The Daland Family: The Hundred Dresses
http://thedalandfamily.blogspot.com/2012/07/hundred-dresses.html
Sunday, July 15, 2012. It tells the sweet yet simple story of a humble girl and the love of a dress. or a hundred. After we read, I let the girls sketch a favorite dress that they would love to wear.this summer my idea is to make one of their sketches. I think the best part about this little story is the lesson that can be learned. that no matter what we look like or what we wear or what we WISH we wore, we are all wonderful and talented and lovely.each in our own way:). http://thedalandfamily.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. This is how we roll. I feel so bad for CJ. This past weekend he played in a couple of polo games. He is a good player. His team relies on him actually quite a bit. He makes things happen in the water. He blocks goals, he draws ejections, he swims down and scores.he is a good player. I need a bat. I could kick the you-know-what outta this punk kid. He is at school with his buddies having fun.we spent almost all day waiting for a CAT scan and test results. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Daland Family: April 2012
http://thedalandfamily.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 27, 2012. PROM 2012.It is called Mormon Prom. It happens every year in April. 16 stakes from around the South come together and it is WONDERFUL.Here is why. The girls have their dresses approved by the Young Womens Leaders. I love this idea.Girls can be elegant, stylish and beautiful without showing off everything they have.shoulders are covered and the dress length is modest at the knee or below. This year it is at the Science Center at USC. There is no "getting a room". Ohhe is fine"says ...
