Outro dado interessante é que a correspondência demorava algum tempo para chegar até o destinatário, a não ser quando indicava uma condição expressa, provavelmente em função dessa necessidade e porque o assunto que portava revelaria urgência de conhecimento à pessoa endereçada. Na rua principal morava um casal. Sem filhos. Marido e mulher gostavam de viajar, sempre juntos. Raramente um viajava sozinho. Quando isso acontecia, já haviam combinado a troca de correspondência, contando as belezas do lugar, as companhias, os passeios. E assim o tempo continuou passando. Muito tempo.
