My latest DVD to date (actually finalized today) is an old movie from the 70's in which swimming is taught to young children. The DVD menu scene takes place in the swimming-pool where a kind of bubble party occurs. I really like this one, since it's IMHO good looking and fun. The navigation shown here follow this path: dvd intro, intro to main menu, main menu, intro to chapters menu, chapters menu, choice from chapters menu.

Saturday, April 4, 2009. Archery DVD menu excerpts. Done a few years ago, I was asked for this DVD to make it simple and elegant. This is never easy when you have a lot of buttons to add but I think a lot of black some good footage could achieve a nice result. The footage was shot especially for the DVD with a somehow black background (no chroma key here! I had to rototate a little bit what I wanted to keep and increase the color contrast. Some more time could have provided a more realistic aspect to the water (caustics here). I like that cartoonish sound work. Some manipulations can improve them drastically. Here, the principle was to get rid of the "red mist" and get the contrast reinforced. The shirt on the second picture gets its true color back:).
