Norine's Corner: July 2009
http://norinep.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 12, 2009. Hannibal - Day 2. Hannibal has had a hard time of it ever since I can recollect, and I was "raised" there. First, it had me for a citizen, but I was too young then to really hurt the place. Mark Twain - letter to the Alta California. Dated April 16, 1867. Published May 26, 1867. Who do you think of when you hear the name Hannibal, Missouri? Most people would say "Mark Twain", but another famous person born in Hannibal was "the Unsinkable Mollie Brown". How's this for a band! They h...

Monday, May 18, 2009. Catching Up - Steamboat Springs. When David and I headed off to New Mexico, I was so energized and anxious to blog every day, but on this last trip to Steamboat Springs I just couldn't. What was keeping me from posting? We were on our way to a beautiful locale with our very good friends, Marti and Chuck, I was going to see my son in Denver, we were taking the truck for another road trip (the truck likes to go on road trips), what was wrong? I don't have a clue! There's an excellent ...

Norine's Corner: October 2009
http://norinep.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. It's the 11th day of my recovery and today I feel strange, like I have. Just awakened from a deep sleep. Since I still don't sleep well, why. Do I feel this way? I miss my photography and editing sessions! I see all the missed opportunities. I have been so blind! It is gloomy and rainy outside and rather cool in the house this. Morning. David is up and was sweet to bring my coffee. That first cup. Of coffee in the morning is always the most satisfying. It's when you. Lots of p...

Norine's Corner: February 2009
http://norinep.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. David and I used to fix Chinese dishes.a lot! We haven't done that in quite a while. David decided he wanted to fix one of our favorite dishes.Hoisin Chicken. As you can see from the photo, the recipe has been used enough times that we have left our marks on the page. . David was banging away in the kitchen and muttering curses and yelling at me about whether or not he should marinate the chicken, how should the chicken be cut up, yadda yadda yadda! MEET DAVE: Christmas Snow
http://davidpiet.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-snow.html
Saturday, December 26, 2009. December 26, 2009 at 11:01 AM. Wish I could get in the hot tub tonight. Get in, get out and roll around in the snow, just like in Grumpy Old Men, although that scene was a sauna instead of a hot tub. :). December 26, 2009 at 1:07 PM. Oh brrrrrrrrrr, youre crazy! Just looking at this pic makes me cold. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Link to my 365 Project. A New Years Eve to Remember. The End of the Year. View my complete profile.

MEET DAVE: Christmas 2009
http://davidpiet.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-2009.html
Friday, December 25, 2009. A winter storm hit Kansas City Christmas Eve. It started in the early afternoon with ice and then changed to snow around 5 PM. The wind kicked up and we had a very snowy, windy night. Christmas morning we woke up to about 6 inches of snow. Of course my ole trusty snowblower decided not to start, forcing me to shovel by hand. How archaic! And some crackers and dip. I'm not sure if Bob was yawning or yelling at the new Kansas City Chiefs coach. Can you believe it? Wish I could ha...

MEET DAVE: ...and now a word from our sponsors...
http://davidpiet.blogspot.com/2009/11/and-now-word-from-our-sponsors.html
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. And now a word from our sponsors. In the 1960s, an average 60 minute show would run for 51 minutes. Thats 11 minutes longer than tonights episode of "V". That means commercial time has increased from 9 minutes to 20 minutes for an hour long show. That's a 222 percent increase in commercial time! If you watch any of the old shows that are being broadcast, you may see that they've cut up to 9 minutes of showtime for the increased commercials. What can we do about this?

http://davidpiet.blogspot.com/2009/12/end-of-year.html
Wednesday, December 30, 2009. The End of the Year. It's been almost a week since our first big snowfall on Christmas Eve. It's been snowing off and on since then and is snowing pretty good right now. Hopefully my snowblower will be fixed this afternoon and I can tackle the driveway. December 31, 2009 at 6:00 AM. In spite of all the worlds turmoil - I think we all fared fairly well :-). MEET DAVE: A New Years Eve to Remember
http://davidpiet.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-years-eve-to-remember.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. A New Years Eve to Remember. One of our best New Years celebrations ever was in this room. Because we had people from all time zones in the United States and many others from around the world, we were able to celebrate New Years for someone each hour of the night. Yes, it was a long night. But one I will never forget. I miss that room. December 31, 2009 at 8:56 AM. December 31, 2009 at 9:07 AM. January 1, 2010 at 11:47 AM. Why dont you do it again? Link to my 365 Project.
