The allergist told me I should move to Denver. It's been a day . and a half? It's been a busy week. It's been a weekend. It's been a long week. It was a week. It was a miserable weekend. Josie is back from the vet. Remember that cough that's been hanging on forever? I know some people on my friends-list will appreciate this. It's been a couple of weeks. It's National Cancer Survivors Day. Can I be better now? What's your favorite skin cream? Viewing 0 - 20. The allergist told me I should move to Denver.

Transformation and Reversed-Polarity Greys. Sep 29th, 2010 at 11:35 AM. I'm at the hospital with BB; internal bleeding, don't know if it's 2000 and the 14 ulcers all over again. He's pale, they're aspirating blood from his stomach. Don't know what's happening yet. Waiting for blood as well. Keep him in your thoughts, pray if you want. 58 comments Leave a comment. A Family Reunion - Not A Blog
http://grrm.livejournal.com/436112.html
Jul 23rd, 2015 at 11:49 PM. We are now less than a month away from worldcon. On Tuesday, August 18, Parris and I and some friends will be boarding a jet plane for Spokane, returning the following Tuesday. With the convention - and the Hugo awards - looming ever closer, I have been giving a lot of thought to what this worldcon might be like. The approach of Sasquan has got me thinking about worldcons (and awards ceremonies) past, so I thought I'd share a few pictures from my own family albums. Here's me w...

Twelve years ago I posted about how important it is for therapists… - Dr. Rivka
http://rivka.livejournal.com/622597.html
December 2nd, 2014. I posted about how important it is for therapists to learn the specific language used by their clients. Back then I saw clients in an inner-city HIV clinic. I needed to know phrases like dope-sick. And understand the difference between hustling. Not because my clients didn't understand the more formal language I was trained to use but because. I called that post to mind today. My client population has changed entirely. Of course, but the principle is still the same:. Very few people g...

Hmmm, Lemme See. The Kiss and The Knife. Slidin squeaky clean between. I'm having a hunk of my left lung removed tomorrow. May 6th, 2009 at 11:49 PM. I have a small (1.8 cm x 0.8 cm) tumor in the upper lobe of my left lung. I'm having the tumor removed on Wed., 2009/05/13. I don't know whether the tumor is malignant or benign, and won't until I awaken after the surgery. Those are the headlines, here are the rumors behind the news:. The anomaly on the April 9th CT scan caused the internist who'd been hand...

AKICIF: Obscure Jargon - Home of the Snarkmaiden
http://akirlu.livejournal.com/315894.html
Home of the Snarkmaiden. One of those Insufferable Craft Beer Snobs. Dear Internets: Please help me with. A sekrit project. Give me one obscure. Bit of SF or fannish jargon, something from books, movies, fanfic, fandom - whatever - along with its definition, please. Thanks in advance. Posted on Jun. 25th, 2015 at 12:14 pm. Probably not obscure enough, but there's always "stf" as the abbreviation of scientifiction. Posted on Jun. 25th, 2015 08:55 pm (UTC). Posted on Jun. 25th, 2015 09:37 pm (UTC). Posted ...

http://dr-whuh.livejournal.com/7026.html
Hmmm, Lemme See. The Kiss and The Knife. Slidin squeaky clean between. May 13th, 2009 at 4:44 PM. He's doing as well as can be expected with four incisions in his side. He's in pain (expected) and really tired (also expected). He ate a big ol' Belgian waffle before he went to sleep. He thanks you for your thoughts, wishes and love. And so do I, his faithful correspondent. ETA: Brownies are still appreciated. How'd I get here? Home in spirit, hospital in reality. Life is just a chair o bowlies. May 14th, ...

My 60-year-old, sleep-deprived eyes.... - On The Funway
http://gerisullivan.livejournal.com/472538.html
My 60-year-old, sleep-deprived eyes. Mar 4th, 2015 at 9:47 PM. Just scored a ZERO on the online Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test. BTW, zero is the perfect score. Age has caught up with my eyes in other ways, but not with hue, apparently. Either that, or the online test is bollocks, as the tetrachromacy test. That's making the rounds following the whole dress color excitement appears to be. I note with disappointment that the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test is sadly lacking in llamas. If you really want to...
