Experiments with cooking…. Kandi pachadi / Toor dal chutney. Toor dal – 1 cup. Red chillies – 6-7. Garlic cloves – 4. Jeera – 1 tb spoon. Tamarind pulp – 1 tb spoon. Fry toor dal in a pan with little oil till it turns golden colour. Then fry red chillies, jeera, garlic for 2 mnutes. Once it is cooled, grind all of them by adding tamarind pulp, salt and little water. Once it is grinded , make tadka with bengal gram, jeera, mustard, curry leaves in a pan and add it to the chutney. Experiments with cooking…. Pesarattu / Green Gram dosa. Pesalu/ whole Green gram – 2 cups. Rice — hand full. Ginger — small pice. Green chillies — 2-3. Salt – to taste. Soak Pesalu along with handful of rice in water for 6-8 hrs. Grind it after draining water along with chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, jeera. Welcome to My Kitchen. Thursday, December 17, 2009. Allpurpose flour - 2 cups. Sugar - 1/2 cup. Rice flour - 3 tbsp. Butter - 1/2 cup. Cooking Soda - 1/2 tsp. Oil - For fry. Take Allpurpose flour in a blow, add cooking soda and butter. Add sufficient amount of water and make a dough. Knead the dough well, it should be like a chapathi or a puri dough. Mix rice flour in 3 to 4 tsp of butter. Roll the dough into chapathis. Now take the rice flour-butter mixer and spread on the chapathi. Make a suger syrup.

Experiments with cooking…. I have adapted this from one of the food blogs and this is really easy breezy to make. Besan flour : 1 cup. Ghee : 3/4 th cup. Milk – 1 spoon. Sugar powdered – cup. Fry besan in one spoon ghee in a pan for about 5-7 mins in medium flame. Then mix besan and sugar in a microwave bowl . Now add ghee and one spoon of milk into it and stir well.
