Random ramblings on Open Source, integration and other malarkey. Thursday, 13 June 2013. Introducing the Apache Camel based open source iPaaS. I've had a blast at CamelOne and Red Hat Summit in Boston; thanks for all the great speakers and feedback! I demo'd our new Apache Camel. Ie our Camel Cloud or Fuse integration appliance). Here's a quick demo video of what I presented at my CamelOne keynote along with the slides. Though we'll have the public stable early access release soon. 9 August 2013 at 19:20.

James Strachan's Blog: Scala as the long term replacement for java/javac?
http://macstrac.blogspot.com/2009/04/scala-as-long-term-replacement-for.html

Don't get me wrong - I've written tons of Java over the last decade or so and think its been a great evolutionary step from C and Smalltalk (lots of other languages have helped too like JavaScript, Ruby, Groovy, Python etc). However I've long wanted a long term replacement to javac. I even created a language. To scratch this itch. To let us save any typing/reading.
James Strachan's Blog: a groovy scala example
http://macstrac.blogspot.com/2009/07/groovy-scala-example.html
Random ramblings on Open Source, integration and other malarkey. Friday, 10 July 2009. A groovy scala example. So my last post caused a bit of a stir (though some excellent comments. What I was trying to say way more elegantly. Scala, it must be stated, is the current heir apparent to the Java throne. No other language on the JVM seems as capable of being a "replacement for Java" as Scala, and the momentum behind Scala is now unquestionable. Here's the Scala code first. So Scala and Groovy code can look ...

To guarantee that the integration logic matches the expectations. To quickly identify some regression issues. To test some special cases, like the errors for instance. To validate the succesful provisioning (deployment) on a runtime as close as possible to the target platform. We distinguish two kinds of tests:.
