Monday, March 17, 2008. Mate is the drink that everyone drinks all day long. It is a tea and it has metal straws and a gourd to hold the drink. It is EVERYWHERE. You share the straws which are metal. When you are in someone´s home that is the first thing they serve you. We walked today to the dico market and bought Lisa (Spector) her cookies. The market is in a very rich area right near the hotel and everyone has their food delivered. They pack it in insulation and it take 4-5 hours to get it.
