Mrs Cogbill's Class

Wednesday, 3 June 2015. Our Visit to St John’s Church. Mrs Cogbill’s and Mrs King’s class recently visited St John’s Church on the Graig. We had a look around the inside of the church and Father Michael spoke to us all. We were able to ask him questions to find out more about the internal features of the church. We also had squash and biscuits which was a lovely treat. We all learned lots and lots! All pupils work will be on display during the church summer fete on Saturday 6. Saturday, 31 May 2014.

Mrs Wilkshires Class: March 2014

http://www.maes-y-coedkc.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 11 March 2014. The Royal family have sat on the seats we were sitting in, they are very comfortable. The hospitality rooms were very nice and there was an excellent view of the pitch. We asked lots of questions and have learned a lot about the Millenium Stadium. Take a look at some of our photos below. Mrs Davies's assistant photographer for the day was Megan. These are Megan's photos below. To be uploaded soon). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Back to Maesycoed Blog. View my complete profile.

Mrs Wilkshires Class: May 2013

http://www.maes-y-coedkc.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Friday, 24 May 2013. Our Visit to St John's Church. On Friday 17th May Mrs Cogbills Class and Mrs Kings Class visited St. John’s Church on the Graig. This visit was linked to our R.E. work on the ‘Church and Community’. Father Michael greeted us and spoke to us about his role in the church and the wider community. He then went on to explain all about the different internal features of the church. Pupils in both classes answered questions sensibly and asked their own questions too. Friday, 10 May 2013.

Mrs Wilkshires Class: Greenmeadow Farm

http://www.maes-y-coedkc.blogspot.com/2014/05/greenmeadow-farm.html

Saturday, 31 May 2014. We had so much fun even though it was VERY bumpy, we couldn't stop laughing! We met the pets in the main arena and were able to touch them and ask the handlers lots of questions. We nominated Mrs Cogbill and Mrs King to have a go at milking the goat. We thought they did a terrific job. We even filmed it for everyone to see. We had so much fun in the farm and would love to go there again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Back to Maesycoed Blog. Mrs Wilkshires Class: November 2013

http://www.maes-y-coedkc.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, 17 November 2013. A good time was had by all! On Thursday 24th October our class visited Castell Henllys, an Iron Age Hill Fort in Pembrokeshire. It took us a long time to get there, but it was well worth it when we did. We found out lots about the everyday life of the Celts in Wales. We went inside a ‘roundhouse’ to discover how Celtic people cooked, made bread and made clothes. We made our own bracelets out of ‘willow’ and we were able to try weaving a basket. A good time was had by all!

Miss Smyth's Class

Monday, 16 March 2015. On Wednesday we had a gardening day! We have had great fun in the garden. We’ve planted carrot and tomato seeds and potatoes. We planted daffodils and lots of other colourful flowers. We tidied up our yard – we gave it a good sweep and Mr Wells and Miss Smyth picked up some bits of litter. We have had some new windmills, scarecrows and suncatchers so we had to decide where they were all going to go. Tuesday, 18 February 2014. We’ve had a busy couple of weeks in Nursery. We had an o...
