April 2, 2013. Exciting New Opportunity for Me. I got a new job for the 2012-13 school year! I was definitely not expecting that the Assistant Principal position at my previous school would open up. When it did, I applied, interviewed and was offered the job. I accepted, of course! Not only am I totally excited about being an Assistant Principal, but I LOVE being back at the school where I taught for nine years. I feel like I've come home! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). February 26, 2012. For a birthday party, Allison chose to take her friends, Shelby and Caroline, to the Build-a-Bear Workshop. The girls chose what type of animal they wanted to make, helped to fill it with stuffing, and chose a heart for it. They had fun picking out an outfit for their animals, and they all three chose the same one. Gramma came along with us and even paid for each of the girls to choose a pair of shoes for their animals. They were very excited about that! Happy 6th Birthday, Allison!

September 11, 2011. Allison's First Day of Kindergarten. On August 10th, Allison had her first day of kindergarten. Here she is with Lindsey before Matt took her to school. We were really worried about Allison starting school this year because it's a new school with new teachers and new kids. She had such a rough time adjusting to preschool last year. She was a little nervous the first day or so, but she has LOVED school ever since! She also comes home giving us an update on her new best buddy Braydon!

October 10, 2011. Our Trip to the Orchard. Last weekend, we took our annual fall trip to the local orchard. The girls had fun looking at all of the varieties of pumpkins. We made our way to the apple trees to pick some apples. Unfortunately, all of the apples had been picked from the trees! Matt did find one good one lying on the ground, so we grabbed that one. January 24, 2012. Allison's First Lost Tooth. Allison lost her first tooth while we were driving home from Pittsburgh! She was wiggling it around and out it came. Since we were spending the night at my parents' house before heading to our home, my mom gave Allison my old tooth fairy pillow to put her tooth in for the tooth fairy's visit.
