September 29, 2008, 11:54 am. Fun stuff happening around here! Wants to use one of my flickr images from New Orleans’ French Market. I would add the image directly here, but the last couple of flickr blog entries I attempted had the image missing. It wasn’t just me, but please check out the image and my other flickr images! Wish me luck as they make their final selections! Leave a Comment so far. Feed for comments on this post. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Bare Maked: Crochet
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2012/09/crochet.html
Saturday, September 01, 2012. I've been spending a lot of my spare time doing cat photos as part of my Orphan Animal Photos. Project, so crafting has taken a hiatus. Except that crafting never fully. I went on a short trip to Vancouver Island to do some camping and walking through rainforests and in my downtime I crocheted a hat! It wouldn't be a vacation if I didn't have some kind of craft project on hand. The pattern is available here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lip Balm, Finally. To see our p...

Bare Maked: Fashion Mod Help
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2012/09/fashion-mod-help.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. I just found this dress. In a thrift shop ($8) and had to get it because she skirt portion is this lovely printed velvet. However, I'm not so into the gold metallic ruched top (also it's currently strapless, unless I hunt down some straps to hook onto the loops, and I prefer my clothing to have straps). All ideas/suggestions are welcome! Also - yay for thrift store finds! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Visit our website at http:/ maked.ca/. Maked is made up of 4 women who...

Bare Maked: Orphan Cats
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2012/07/orphan-cats.html
Friday, July 06, 2012. My latest creative endeavour doesn't involve beads or fabric, although it did involve yarn at one point. It was another photo shoot of shelter cats - part of my ongoing project to work with talent photographers to get great photos of homeless animals to spruce up their online profiles and help catch someone's eye (and heart) so they get adopted. This time around it was a photo shoot with Cindy from Muddy Love Pet Photography. And if you have space in your home and life for an anima...

Bare Maked: Cats & Kittens in support of... cats & kittens!
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2012/10/new-product.html
Monday, October 01, 2012. Cats and Kittens in support of. cats and kittens! When I started getting the super lovely photos from my volunteer photographers for Orphan Animal Pics. I quickly realized that I needed to do something with these great photos besides post them on the internet. I figured there had to be a fundraising idea there somewhere. I mean - cute photos of kittens are a surefire win, right? This time, I'm trying greeting cards! Katie's Place Animal Shelter. Please feel free to share the lin...

Bare Maked: October 2012
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 22, 2012. My kind of DIY video. I love video tutorials as much as the next crafter - but sometimes I'm not really into making a specific thing (project) as much as I want to really properly understand how to do a thing. Why certain things work the way they do - if I can get that bit, then I can usually figure out the rest. That's why I'm excited about this proposed idea by. And Ben Z Cooper. To produce a series of tutorials that focus on the. Kim explains it far better than I do. Cats and...

Bare Maked: Craft Fair Prep
http://baremaked.blogspot.com/2011/10/craft-fair-prep.html
Sunday, October 16, 2011. Since getting the great news that Maked was accepted for the Holiday Got Craft fair. I've been using my bits and pieces of spare time to try and make stock. A few soap pours here and there - including space invaders inspired soaps and jewel-themed soaps for the swag bags. I bought a lady's soap supply off her as she gave up her craft business - which means I got a huge quantity of soap base for a great price. Which means I have a HUGE quantity of soap base! Maked is made up of 4...

Radial templates | Little Black Pot
https://littleblackpot.wordpress.com/radialtemplates
Templates for even distribution around a center. To make a clock face I created the polar coordinates by radials for evenly placed numbers. Cards with flowers made of eyelet petals were perfect little flowers when I used it! Pinning out a finished tatted piece to dry with this was easy (printed on a transparency so there isn’t an ink transfer.). I also made another one with degrees, rather than radials. I found the radial one easier for brain to cope. Polar Coordinates by Radials. Leave a Comment so far.
