A little bit of everything. National Blog Posting Month. October 31, 2013. As you can see by the nifty badge on my sidebar, I have decided to participate in NaBloPoMo. This month. I am not organized (or confident) enough to do NaNoWriMo. Like the last time I did this. I am not making any hard and fast posting rules other than doing it once each day, but I anticipate Making Things. Is anyone else doing either NaBloPoMo or NaNoWriMo? Brilliant Advice for any Creative Endeavor. June 20, 2012. The crazy thin...
pork chops | Making a Life

A little bit of everything. Tag Archives: pork chops. Menu, Week of 1/11. January 12, 2015. This is my third menu plan for the year! I am on track for menu planning again! I know, this is very exclamatory, but I have been really slacking on the menus, and suffering for it. I have missed the ease of a menu already in place, and made abortive attempts to reboot the habit for months with very little success. Now, though, I seem to be doing it, and I am super happy about that. Chili, pasta for the kids.

Making Alberta Better | A place to exchange ideas
A place to exchange ideas. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. The Women’s Vote…? October 9, 2011. As much as I would like to agree that women are loving caring creatures while men are selfish brutes, this simply isn’t true. Furthermore, I don’t think that’s what Mr Carter meant when he said. 8220;Every word I ever wrote was for women”. For a more fulsome discussion of this issue see my comments on. Is there such a thing as “the women’s vote”? What do you think? September 18, 2011. NOTE: ...

STOP MAKING A LIVING AND START MAKING A LIFE
STOP MAKING A LIVING AND START MAKING A LIFE. A collection of random thoughts and perspectives on living and life. Sunday, November 13, 2005. Is too quick a judgment good? On occasion, it is useful and necessary to make judgments about what other people do and say. Much of the time, though,it can be a waste of your time and energy. In fact, one of the biggest obstacles to effective listening is the habit of continually and immediately making judgments about what is being said. Posted by prodigal @ 8:15 AM.

Making a Life
Saturday, May 22, 2010. Did I ever tell you that Pentecost is one of my favorite holy days? It ranks right behind Easter in terms of my attachment to it. I have this thing about the Holy Spirit. I suppose the intellectuality of the Spirit appeals to me. The Spirit represents wisdom to me. It is one gift of the Spirit I have always coveted if you can covet such things. I still remember Emerick’s simple question: what is grace? Sure that I could find the answer, I scoured scripture for instances of grace i...

Get me outta here! Making a Little 'a'. Because it's time to have a baby and a blog. 29 Weeks – #canklesarereal. August 6, 2015. I will make note of them…. Like the title says, cankles are a real thing. I naively thought I was going to avoid them. They are a third trimester reality, and the August heat isn’t helping. It should be noted that my feet are usually small, I have bony ankles, and they fit in these sneakers fine until yesterday. 3 hour glucose test is tomorrow morning. Womp womp. I’m not ...
