Making It Home
Follow along on our adventures though my crazy schemes and accidental life lessons as we tweak our new concept on life ;). Sunday, January 20, 2013. What happens when God gives us more than we can bear? But what happens when it's us? When we are at the end of our rope and can't keep going, but can't see a way out of the dark either? I've always thought of this as being at the bottom of a pit- and believe me, my pit was deep and dark. I've been there. Sounds a little different now, huh? It dawned on me th...

Making It Homey
Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Let's Make A Deal. I became owner of this dresser in the most unlikely way. An older friend called me to come over and give her a quote on fixing several of her piece's of furniture. I only mention "older friend" because you need to know she has had a long time to collect all kinds of beautiful furniture and other things. I've lost a lot of weight to date but more needs to be moved out, plans are in place. Do not know how to breathe, who'd have figured on that? Obviously...

Making It Hurt
Thursday, July 11, 2013. I hope that all of my readers have realized how much I love metaphors. If not, please feel free to re-read any of my past posts and try to relate lessons learned in running to lessons in life (except for the A Runner's Story. Posts- those were just stories). What is a relationship without communication? Arguments, affection, compromise, camaraderie, fights, forgiveness, sharing emotions and encouragement. As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."- Proverbs 27:17.

Making ITIL Work
Wednesday, June 9, 2010. The more I read, and the older I get, the more focused I become on results. At the end of the day, people care about outcomes, and are less picky about the path we take to achieve them. Many of the success stories about ITIL are really success stories about the culture of CSI. You'll see a common thread among them. Establish clarity around goals and objectives first.do tools later (perhaps MUCH later). Get quick wins to build momentum. Clear goals and objectives. Labels: ITIL inc...
