One kid in college, one kid in high school and one toddler. Monday, January 17, 2011. Asher had his first serious run-in with gravity today. We were at an open house for Growcology. We were eventually shuttled to our own exam room, where he freaked out a bit as they cleaned his wound; Michael was allowed to join us just in time to hold Asher down- no papoose board needed, after all! Saturday, January 1, 2011. May this be a year of peace, health, joy, love, connection and creative fulfillment for us all!

And Nutmeg is happy, too, for much the same reason — her maternity leave lasts longer, till early September, and between now and then there’s nothing much to do but focus on the baby. When I see her at her laptop, she’s not checking in at work, she’s uploading Peaches photos or looking on Amazon for a stroller. The Days of Abandonment.
