http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Birthday Invitations and Favors. We have a big birthday coming in our household this month so I have been working on invitations and favors. This year we are doing a swimming/slumber party. There are going to be 5 girls which makes it easier than when we invited the whole class! My invites fell right in line with this weeks Papertrey Ink MIM. The background and flip flops are from SU Sparkling Summer. I added the glitter strip as an after thought. Thanks for stopping by. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. For the ...

Inky Expressions: July 2012
http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
I love to buy ribbon. I have tons of it and rarely use it which is why I chose to participate in the Ribbon Technique Challenge. Your challenge is to pick one of the ribbon techniques from below and utilize it in a project of your own. You can re-create an exact replica of the designer's project or reinterpret it in your own way. I thought Erin's idea was fabulous. (No tying! The clouds that are raised came from a video posted by Jessica Witty. In the Card Set Challenge. Thanks for stopping by. I like th...

Inky Expressions: January 2013
http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Make it Monday 100. Hi I am back from a long hiatus and decided to play along with Papertrey Ink's 100th Make it Monday. Video Our challenge is to create packaging for cards with over sized embellishment. Typically, when I make an over sized card it is going to be hand delivered so the packaging doesn't need to meet postal guidelines. I call the envelope I use the most a slide pouch. It is quick and easy to make. Thanks for stopping by. Sunday, January 20, 2013. Links to this post. Make it Monday 100.

Inky Expressions: CAS-ual Friday CFC92
http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2013/03/cas-ual-friday-cfc92.html
I love to stamp my own backgrounds so this CAS-ual Fridays. Challenge was right up my alley. But hmm, what stamp to use. Sometimes I find a stamp I like but I only use it in one style of card. I only see it as Shabby Chic, Elegant, or Country. I have been trying to force my self to make the products I own more versatile. That being said, I decided to use the Stampendous peacock feather I used to make Mother's Day cards for another challenge. Those cards. From their new self adhesive cork sheets. This is ...

Inky Expressions: Easter Bags and DIY Washi tape
http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2013/03/easter-bags-and-diy-washi-tape.html
Easter Bags and DIY Washi tape. Thought I would pop in with some holiday bags I made in place of baskets. I was inspired by CAS-ual Fridays Funny Bunny Challenge. First up is the bunny face bag. Where do I begin with this one? First I added the stripe paper at the top. The bow tie was cut with a Cricut cartridge. The flower is a cricut/ papertrey ink die mesh. The ears were free hand cut then sponged with color. I kept it simple on the back with the stripe paper and a cotton ball tail. Cute bags. I e...

Inky Expressions: Sequins
http://inkyexpressions.blogspot.com/2013/03/sequins.html
This time around features sequins. I played along by making an anniversary card for my parents. This June will be the big 50! I wanted the card to be elegant and to incorporate gold. I kept playing around and couldn't make the sequins work. Then I went to Pinterest. And found this sketch. I had pinned from Paper Crafts Mag. The punch of red seems more sassy but I like it. I'm just not sure which one I like best. Thanks for stopping by. Monday, March 25, 2013. These are both so lovely and elegant!
