24 يوليو، 2010. مصاعد منخفض القطارة الهيدروليكية. يمثل منخفض القطارة نحو 2% من مساحة مصر, وهو يوجد فى الشمال الغربى ( كما يبدو فى شكل 1 ) . وتوجد بين البحر المتوسط ومنخفض القطارة هضبة ترتفع تدريجيا من مستوى الصفر عند البحر لتصل الى نحو 240 مترا عند حافة المنخفض , ثم يبدأ منخفض القطارة الذى تبلغ مساحته نحو 20 ألف كيلو متر مربع عند مستوى الصفر , وتتدرج الانخفاضات لتصل الى نحو 135 مترا تحت سطح البحر .
