Random ramblings and reflections. Saturday, July 04, 2015. Last night we enjoyed the Midwest Academy fireworks display from Travis and Gail's yard. They always have a good show, and we enjoyed it with family and friends. We left Rusty at home, inside, with the television blaring, hoping it would keep him from hearing the big booms. Last year he ran off and was gone for four days! We didn't want a repeat. He seemed to have enjoyed watching the Fox News channel, but was very happy to see us return.

Suden News: August Update
http://suden871.blogspot.com/2015/08/august-update.html
Random ramblings and reflections. Saturday, August 08, 2015. Summer is passing much too fast! With all the rain we've had, the lawn mowing hasn't let up at all! Beefy and the girls have had plenty of pasture grass and we've not had to supplement their diet with hay. Usually by the end of July the grass is pretty well burned up, but not this year! Dennis especially enjoyed skiing with Travis. We've been cutting the low hanging limbs of trees all around our property. It's nice to mow without dodging th...

Random ramblings and reflections. Friday, November 14, 2014. The Secret to A Long Life. A tough old cowboy once counseled his grandson that if he wanted to live a long life, the secret was to sprinkle a little gunpowder on his oatmeal every morning. The grandson did this faithfully and he lived to the ripe old age of 93. When he died he left 14 children, 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and a fifteen-foot hole in the wall of the crematorium. It makes good sense to me that we would all live bette...

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. I want to have a record of these things for myself and this is really the quickest outlet for me to put it all down. And then she'll say, "Mom, next time maybe you should let us know when you're closing it. Someone could really get hurt! Why am I so nervous? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Four of my GREATEST gifts! Thursday, August 27, 2009. First Day of School. I love being a follower of Christ. He makes life exciting. He leads me down paths I would NEVER choose on my own. One of these paths lately is the decision we have made to follow His leading to homeschool our kids this year. Hayley is in Kindergarten and Jack and Riley are pre-school. Mallory is in on the fun too. See pictures below. : ). I have people all the time say, "Oh, well it will be easy for you to homeschool- -you were a teacher! Riley letting Mall...

What the Beck?: First Grade!!

Tuesday, September 3, 2013. We've had a great summer, but it's high time we got some routine back in our lives! Daddy helped make special ABC pancakes last night, so breakfast was a breeze this morning just reheating precooked food. Why don't I do that more often? Traditional pic in front of the windows before school. She insisted on a funny face one too! She has the sweetest teacher, Mrs. Stockwell. We love her already! Ready for a great day! Random ramblings and reflections. Monday, April 21, 2014. I've been taking pictures of the view from my kitchen window. I started in January, and have taken several since. Today, I was looking at the pictures, and enjoying the noticeable changes in the landscape. April 15 Snowing again. Change is good. I'm thankful for the changes in my life because of Jesus Christ. Here's a song I really like. It's titled Ephesians Chapter One, and Karen Peck and New River are singing. Is a place where I can find relief.

The Brewer's: February 2012

Sunday, February 26, 2012. I haven't been very good about blogging the past couple of months or taking pictures for that matter. I love recording our memories here on the blog, so I am going to try to be better about doing it. David's dad came in for a few days last week to go to Mavericks vs. Celtics game with David. While he was here they went to several sporting events, so they were pretty much on the go the entire visit. They did take a little break to play Memory and Go Fish with Landon! I was brows...

Sunday, March 31, 2013. We had a fabulous Easter together. Lily enjoyed her first Easter basket. . Annalee and Grace raced into our room at 2:30am exclaiming that the Easter Bunny had visited! They were so excited and it was cute for about 30 seconds, then we ordered them back to bed! We headed over to JoJo and Papas for lunch and egg hunting! Look at all those adorable Beck kiddos in blue! Serious hunting going on. We also celebrated JoJo and Rachel's birthdays. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
