Did you know there are 43 trillion possible arrangements of the Rubik's Cube? I'm convinced this must be the number that can help me define my self. Go figure! Sunday, May 12, 2013. I've thought about the why. I don't know, and yet I know too much. I've thought about the what. That I, wield in my hands. I've thought about the who. Just me, myself, and I. I've thought about the when. In dark of night, light of day. I've not been able to think about the where. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Did you know there are 43 trillion possible arrangements of the Rubik's Cube? I'm convinced this must be the number that can help me define my self. Go figure! Friday, June 7, 2013. Maybe, just maybe, this is not meant to be. Sometimes, just sometimes, even I get weary of me. They say, “Follow your dreams.”. They didn’t say where those dreams would lead me. They tell me about one door closing and other doors opening. They didn’t tell me so many doors would close on me. All I wanted was to help others.

Eventually, it was the hollowness in their eyes that got to me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a child of the night. My name was formerly Delight. In the chaos I wander, out of sight. My soul has sunk to the depths, risen to the heights. I am sister of Dream. My trail leads you to a bubbling stream. Let go of me.

Did you know there are 43 trillion possible arrangements of the Rubik's Cube? I'm convinced this must be the number that can help me define my self. Go figure! Monday, December 10, 2012. My director likes to tell everyone in the lab to write “how-to” guides. His concern is that if anyone was to get hit by a car, someone else can easily step in, take over, and maintain continuity of the research projects. While somewhat macabre, I see his point. It scares me because once the veil has been lifted, the clarity is blinding. It scares me how small one can become, how crippled one can be. It reminds me how the self is a lone. Saturday, November 07, 2009. This video has an interesting philosophy on art that combines scientific ideas of movement in space and time. It made me question how I used to look at art before I watched this video, e.g., art as primarily being about aesthetics, art as indulgence, art as high culture, art as pop culture, art as money-making venture, art as leisure and entertainment, etc. I began to wonder: What if art was an act of philosophizing about the world? Thursday, October 29, 2009. My landlord plants tomatoes and herbs again, and they grow much better this time, than they did in the summer. You know, this is probably the only place in the U.S. where you can still plant produce in the winter and have them actually look green and flourish. The discerning eye blinked @ 3:47 am. Friday, June 30, 2006. All set for Tibet:. Have made the final payment for Tibet trip today with Little Miss Manga. Got a very detailed briefing from the tour agency about what to expect, things to bring, etc. Apparently there are 2 mountains we will be travelling by, each 4,000 over feet above sea level, and temps about 4-5 degree Celcius - Whoo hoo! This trip is more interesting than I thought. Haha. The discerning eye blinked @ 9:37 pm. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. King and the Clown:. Prefer subtle demo...

Thursday, November 30, 2006. I love the muppets. Have been wanting to add some videos of them into my blog for the longest time. Here's something nice, a song. Monday, January 29, 2007. Heavy thots in a heavy week:. School's been a mad whirl of activity so far. So much to do, so little time. Here's a quote from the book I was reading on the train this morning. Haunting. A quick test of the assertion that enjoyment outweighs pain in this world, or that they are at any rate balanced, would be to compare the feelings of an animal engage in eating another with those of the animal being eaten. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Was at the airport over the weekend to pick up parents. Their mid-night flight got delayed and the Bak Chew found herself sitting in T2 Starbucks @ 1am in the morning. I think bag lady noticed me looking in her direction so she tried to wake herself up and minutes later, started to chat animatedly on a handphone. "Really got people call her meh? Finally she stood up, waved the waiters good bye and announced that her friend is here to pick her up. Thursday, October 26, 2006.

Wednesday, November 18, 2009. I have an unopened red packet.:. The red packet held a couple of coins. I never opened it. I just felt it from the outside. He told me to study hard. I don't remember if we shook hands. But I remember feeling that our meeting was somehow meaningful, and even important, in the greater scheme of things. An email came this morning. He passed away last night. And I can't be there at his funeral. The discerning eye blinked @ 5:48 am. Guy Noir, Private Eye. I think this is farnie.

Tuesday, September 26, 2006. My dear friends, I survived the horrible week! Couldn't have done it without ur support/ encouragement. *Batting eyelids in happiness*. To round off the politically-inclined discussion, here's a thoughtful quote in IHT (taken from The Nation) paraphrased: What is a democracy if it is headed by a despot. April 20, 2015. Super Easy and Fast Skillet Lasagna. A friend told me about this delicious skillet lasagna that she made, so of course I had to give it a try. I’m sorry that I can’t recall where her recipe was from so I have made one up. If you’ve never tried the no-boil noodles then you should! They are NOT like regular but are yummy in their own way. This dinner can really be made in 30 to 40 minutes so it is perfect for when you want something cheesy and delicious in a snap. 3 cloves garlic, minced.

A look into our crazy, busy, fun life. Thursday, March 12, 2015. Since the husband retired from the military and we moved from SoCal to the Midwest the pounds have more than creeped on. They've basically run and jumped on. I gained nearly 30 pounds in a year. THIRTY! That's a lot. Especially when you're only 5'3" tall! Something had to be done. Today marks the one-month date to when I joined. I've lost 10.2 pounds. I'm shocked! I really, really doubt it. I'll be happy if I do, but my original aim was...
