Mansefield House, B and B. Mansefield House provides excellent accommodation in a modern stone built house in a quiet village on the Mendips. The City of Wells is about four miles away, within easy reach of Bath and Bristol which are about fifteen miles from us. We are also located on a regular bus route making it ideal for visiting bath and other local towns. Our accommodation consist of both double bedrooms and twin bedrooms. All of our rooms are en suite or have use of a private bathroom.

I was born in London but lived most of my life in Essex. These days, since my retirement in 1996, I have moved to Scotland in the Southern Uplands area. I am bascially a self taught artist although I have received tution from professional tutors and have attended many workshops and art courses over the years. Welcome to the Mansefield Garden Website. Mansefield is a Category B listed former Georgian Manse. The original house was built in 1718 and faced the road. Today this comprises the middle, harled section of the current house. A further wing, to the rear of this, was added in 1820 with 2 later additions in Victorian times. The adjacent Alford West Church was built between 1804 and 1826 and contains several locally important gravestones including those of early botanist John Duncan and poet Charles Murray.
