http://www.willrunlonger.com/2008/06/western-states-2008-race-cancelled.html
An Ultra Runners Blog. Live Run. Inspire. June 26, 2008. Western States 2008 Race Cancelled. The 2008 Western State 100 mile endurance run has been cancelled. The official announcement was made last night around 8 pm. Fires, smoke, danger to the runners, crews and support personnel contributed to the decision. When I heard the official news, I was not surprised, given the briefing we had yesterday at 3 pm. I couldn’t bring myself to post anything until now. I am so, so sorry Will. But what can you do?

An Ultra Runners Blog: Confession of a Guilty Runner
http://www.willrunlonger.com/2015/01/confession-of-guilty-runner.html
An Ultra Runners Blog. Live Run. Inspire. January 11, 2015. Confession of a Guilty Runner. I never thought I’d be in this position. The end of a long-term relationship, parting ways after years with a wonderful partner. It’s really hard, to move on, but it had to happen. And it was me who decided to do it. But it just couldn’t last. I tried everything to keep things going. But there is only so much one person can do to fix this kind of relationship. Goodbye Hoka Stinsons. I will miss you. You sooo got me!

Tuesday, July 08, 2008. Lake Padden Triathlon 2008. This was my second run at the competitive version of the Lake Padden Triathlon and was hoping to improve on my previous time from 2006. Last year I was at a little race over in Coeur d'Alene 8-). Got into a nice groove and actually swam pretty straight. Hit the turn around buoy with lots of other swimmers still around me, so felt good about keeping pace. Way back to the beach it was definitely thinning out, but still enough to help keep me swimm...Run u...

You Can Always Quit Later. Chronicles of John Paul Severin. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Fireside Chat with Olypic Hopeful, Kevin Collington! Stormed onto the triathlon scene as a recent ITU stud. He has brilliant results to his name such as 13th place at the incredibly competitive Hy-Vee Triathlon. A feat which few can claim, he has outsplit Simon Whitfield on a run course! Representing the Red White and Blue in ITU. Any plans on Ironman in the distant future? I could see myself doing an ironman but no...
