http://zachandkaseyolson.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Getting Ready for Easter! We had an early Easter egg hunt with the cousins since some of them will be away on Easter Sunday. It was a cold afternoon so we quickly fit the egg hunt in before dinner. Lydia is all ready to go! The whole crew before being released. She's been asking to read it as her bedtime story every night since we purchased them! I highly recommend this for Moms out there. 5 weeks to go for Baby #3! Decorating some Easter eggs. Brushing teeth is the best! One mor...

Zach and Kasey Olson: August 2014
http://zachandkaseyolson.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. When we lived in Jarvis we met a buddy named Zane who would come over to our house several days a week for hours at a time. He quickly came to feel like part of the family. When we moved, leaving him was one of the toughest parts. Well, Zane was able to come and stay with us for a week. It was so great to see him again and re-connect. Below Zach and Zane are making pretzel-dogs for dinner one night (with Lyddi's help). As she put it). Feeding the birds at the zoo. We went to the ...

Casa de Carle: June 2013
http://casadecarle.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 22, 2013. Nine Is So Fine. Ian applying the first base coat. Getting ready to write n-i-n-e in cursive. The sketching was the easy part. When it came to tracing over our sketch with the paint, that's when the project got tricky. It took us three tries to get it just right. Later in the evening, we headed to The Independence Square and sat on the terrace at Cafe Verona and enjoyed a delicious dinner, half-price wine, and a complimentary dessert. It was a wonderful day! Cheers to nine years!

Casa de Carle: May 2012
http://casadecarle.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Now that school has been out for one day, at least for me, (sorry Jen) I have time to show you what I have been up to in the Carle's Workshop. Starting back in January I started making wooden boxes using dovetails as joints. Dovetails are supposed to be the strongest joint you can have. You can make dovetails using a router, but I wanted to try it the old fashion way using a dovetail saw. This was probably the easiest one I made with the big pins. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Casa de Carle: July 2013
http://casadecarle.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 15, 2013. A Place to Sit: Restoring a Park Bench. One of the sides before the magic happens. The two sides had a lot of rust showing and the hardware was rusted. The first step I took was to take off the rust with a wire brush at the end of my drill. It took about two hours to get all the nooks and crannies. Then sand it down with two different grits of sand paper and wipe off all the rust particles left. Safety first eyes and ears. A hard part was to remove the bolts that had rusted. After ...
