Silas Jones: The End of Summer
http://www.silasdavidjones.com/2010/09/end-of-summer.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. The End of Summer. Sorry for the lack of blogging. Things have been a little hectic in these parts this summer. I can't believe it's over! Silas is still hilarious. He's talking up an absolute storm. Every time he enters a room, he looks around and says, "Hey, guys! He's speaking in sentences like "Mama, anai hab mo kassup, pease? He repeated it and I paused for a minute trying to figure out how to respond. Then he said, "F*ck, pease! I try to tell myself that his willfulness ...

Silas Jones: Punta Cana
http://www.silasdavidjones.com/2010/06/punta-cana.html
Wednesday, June 9, 2010. A few weeks ago we took a family vacation to a resort. In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I (Matt) am starting a new job. Soon, and we were all sort of burnt out, so we figured it was a good time to make a break for the beach. With the help of a travel agent, we set our sights on a place that billed itself as great for young families: lots of activities for toddlers, no worries about annoying other guests at dinner time, but great beaches and mojitos for the parents. On the last ...

Boob for thought...: July 2010
http://boobforthought.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. Flowing streams of milk. One way to increase your milk supply, as well as a tool to help a baby who isn't latching well, is to do a nursing holiday. This entails mom and baby in bed all weekend, skin to skin, allowing baby to nurse as frequently as he/she desires. No pump, no supplements (unless medically indicated), no chores or stresses, just mom and baby relaxing and breastfeeding! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You've heard of food for thought, but here it's boob for thought.

Cearying On: January 2011
http://cearyingon.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 25, 2011. It's for real ya'll! That we have an address in Tokyo. I know we will make so many memories there, which makes me both happy and sad. I'm happy to think of the place where Matthias may (Lord willing) learn to sit, crawl, talk, and walk depending on how long we are there, and where we will welcome new friends and old ones (hint-hint-please come visit, old friends! In my head for days and I find myself focusing on it once again:. Jehovah Jireh, my provider. For me, for me. Encour...

Cearying On: February 2011
http://cearyingon.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Aliens, Divine Appointments, and Growing Pains. Last Friday, Matthias and I went to the Ward Office in Shibuya to register as aliens. No, not those kind of aliens! On Monday, our sea shipment arrived! Just a portion of our many boxes and wrapped furnishings. It was so exciting to see our stuff arrive, and Matthias really enjoyed supervising the movers. Perched atop the boxes for a better view! Seriously, who could resist this face? Labels: being a foreigner. When you enter the ...

SIMPLY SINGAPORE : February 2012
http://drjude.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Feb 25, 2012. No coffee, no milk, no bread. I'm trying to make it through the first two hours of the morning with no coffee, milk, or bread. This isn't by choice. It's simply a fact. Life, with a one year old, gets busy. Add in a snow storm and you suddenly lose any desire to pass by the market on your way home. Feb 7, 2012. Today, though I'm at the office. For various things. And while sitting here, several things occur to me:. 4) How desperately I need to update my iTunes and Nano for office music.

SIMPLY SINGAPORE : March 2012
http://drjude.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Mar 24, 2012. A week of spring. The weather this past week has been phenomenal. Mostly I've loved it. I started running again (yay! And achieved a 3.6km with baby chariot on Monday, a 4km run with chariot on Wednesday and a 5km run (solo) on Thursday. I think I even picked up a bit of a tan. The snow has melted, but the canal still has plenty of ice left in it, which is astounding considering it was 27C on Thursday. When I'm at home, toddler-boy demands total attention. He's adorably cute. Loves ...Get a...

SIMPLY SINGAPORE : November 2011
http://drjude.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Nov 20, 2011. Another move, but this time with a baby. I'm really not a stranger to moving. I know that I've done it more than 20 times in my life . that's an average of every 2 years or so. Some have been little, like the university student moving from one hall of residence to another. Some have been massive, like the move from the U.K. to Singapore or from Switzerland to South Korea. Not bad for 150 bucks). All that remains is a towel rail for our bathroom, and the pictures to be hung on the walls.
