Last night our church went out to Quarantine Point for a singing, sharing, and prayer time led by Daniel Coutain. As we sat under the night sky blanketed with stars, I was reminded again of what a great God I serve. The songs and testimonies spoke to my heart. Why do I worry? I love to see their fresh hair styles on Monday mornings.

This year I'm moving to the grade five classroom so it took more preparation. I want to go to my classroom today to prepare some lessons for the first week, but other than that I think I'm ready for Monday. :). I'm very grateful for that closed-in closet to the right of this picture, and all the books collected over the years are another benefit.

October 27, 2015 · 7:26 pm. The Call of a Disciple. So I actually wrote this back in April, when we were living in Texas and going to language school. In a lot of ways, our life was pretty different then. But this idea of saying “yes” to Jesus – no matter what – is a daily choice, not a once-and-done issue. Being a follower of Jesus looks different for each one of us. This is just a tiny piece of my journey. A brand new nephew had just been born and we were all absolutely delighted! But we’re so far away.
